Unprofessional

Needless to say this whole player negotiation situation has made this club look amaturish to say the least. Although blair is signed and sealed the treatment of our players in this whole saga has been appauling.

The cap mis-management to the flip flopping on player contracts has made wests tigers look unprofessional and a joke. Success needs to come from this ather wise sheens and humphreys should take the high road and leave this club after 2012 if failure comes on the heels of it.

how do u know blair is signed and we more than one signing to fix this team.

because ive been told as much…he put pen to paper last week and the contract is currently in then hands of the NRL

If Blair is signed then why not announce it? It would clear the air and players might put in extra effort to save their hides. I thought the process was to buy then offload as appropriate not the other way around. 1 day left and counting!

I hope we have signed Blair but we look like amateurs in this, but if we loose half the players they are talking this bloke will have to be good. But in my opinion we still need a frontrower & a fullback.

Didn't worry Souths when they signed GI

I may be wrong, but I thought the NRL cleared the contract, then when Russell Crowe started flapping his gums on one of those talk shows and the NRL realised what he was saying wasn't consistent with what they believed the deal was that they found out exactly what was going on. If Crowe kept his trap shut they may well have gotten away with it.

On the topic of Blair, I am almost positive we've got him, we wouldn't be shredding these players if we weren't sure whether or not he was coming.

There is a lot of talk about the coach and Admin behaving unprofessionally, but what have they done wrong? The adverse media reports have been based on players bleeting and rumour and innuendo stemming from so-called supporters who "know the club cleaner." What is Humphreys supposed to do? Hold a press conference every day with comments like "we have offered Adam Blair $400k for 3 years but other clubs are interested so I hope they don't offer him more than our $420k limit!" Similarly, The bloggers bagging them for signing contracts with existing players then moving them on when a better option presented itself would also whine if the better option fell through and the current players were unsigned and poached. The club has had a bet each way and now appears to be in a position of power in their attempts to boost an underperforming squad. Likewise, If the club announced that Blair had signed but it was subject to NRL approval, the baggers would be on here crucifying them for being unprofessional if the deal was rejected. We must remember that greedy players and their sleezy agents cheapened the definition of a contract and to get ahead, the clubs must now play the same game. That's the way I see it.

But that doesnt apply to you?

im just an annonymous person, who would believe me? Its not like i work in the sports section of a sydney newspaper or anything

Only geein you up champ….still if what you say is on the monety then flicking Gibbs and Fifita before the contract's ratified is somewhat risky I wouldve thought....
I guess little anomalies can be ironed out and probably have been in the meantime hence the hold up so to speak
