I will ride to his defence.

Yes, two bad games the past two weeks. All the rest has been pretty sound if not very good. Puts him way ahead of almost all other players in the team, so lets put the boot into them before him.

He has been terrible all year in defence…absolute no idea

Absolutely 100% wrong. He has had some great games in defence this year. You are letting the story you are telling get in the way of the facts.

Naquima is a good defender, he just reads the plays very poorly on goal line defence doesn't communicate with Nofa….

Doesnt that make him a bad defender? Dont you mean he is a good tackler? Big difference. Johnny Morris was a god tackler but a shocking defender.

You have not seen every game then.

More than half he has been very good, couple of average and the last two have been bad.

That is ok - we'll forget the good ones and just say he has been terrible all the time.

Kev is kev. His form the first month was an outlier.
History says that if he scores 20 tries he is responsible for letting 25 in with his poor hands, unforced errors and shocking defensive reads.
Nothing has changed.

It's not kevs fault he gets selected to play in the centres …kevs a winger at best

Kev has made it very clear he believes he is a centre - and does not like playing on the wing.
His defence one on one is great, it's his positioning and poor combination with Nofo that's the problem.
By now you would think they would understand each other.

People are confusing his couple of big hits for him being a good defender. Bolting in and blindsiding players looks spectacular but it is a very low percentage play in defence.
I don't trust him at all to shut the play down when the opposition spreads the ball.

I thought you rated him Stryker

I got caught up in his early season form like everyone else.
After the first month he was in our top three best. After 2 months bottom 3.

Transmission resumed to normal.

I reckon he has a mortgage on the right side centre position. He needs some coaching when it comes to defence but he is better than any other option we have and I don't think centre is a problem position for us.

Really Steve?
Our centre's aren't making breaks nor scoring yet are leaking tries each week through their poor combinations with their wingers….both are stop gap options.

I completely disagree. Our centres aren't our problem. JAC or another gun winger should obviously be there over Rankin. Our halves also are beyond ordinary although I think they may improve. Our forwards also need to improve.

Centres though are a non issue at this point. I'll qualify this though by stating that if Naiqama and Nofo don't improve then they will have to go. I think though JT is the issue or his coaching staff in regards to how crap Nofo and Naiqama have been over the last couple of weeks.

Let's be honest…he is average at best as either a centre or winger. Too small, not fast enough. He's playing about as good as can be expected.

Put it this way, maybe he would be neck and neck with Blake Ayshford out as worst centre in nrl

Coaching on defence at 27? Yeh, nah.

If you can't learn how to defend in a line in the NRL by 27, I suspect it is beyond you.

Centre is a massive problem for us and has been for a long time. Neither of our centres are strong defensively, which places significant pressure on the halves inside. It doesn't help that the halves are strong defensively either, of course.

I completely disagree. Simona has shut down some good players and Ken for instance last week hit Klemmer and put him down.

You can disagree. No one else in the NRL does, which is why teams aim straight for our edges.

Simona does okay in defense these days but he is no Jamie Lyon.

We get a win and he's just awesome! Cant wait for our next loss and the knives will be out for him to get dumped. That's what usually happens in these parts.
