Twenty two years on from the joint venture and we have the Chairman of the Australian Rugby League Commission calling our club, Balmain.

On Foxtel this morning -
“I thank Manly greatly for diverting the headline from the Balmain situation” - Peter V’landys.

As if it’s not enough to hear blanket “Tigers” references with rarely a solitary “Wests” thrown in to lighten the load - now we have the highest ranking league official in the land kicking my football heritage into the gutter.

To me, the biggest point is not that he doesn't know about Wests heritage etc, but that he doesn't care enough about the fans or their history with the game. He is basically in the wrong job. He cares about the big money clients.

It's incompetent, something I routinely expect from the NRL. So I let slide off. I would love Vlandy's sacked, I think he is a myth.

For what it's worth i have no peoblem with anyone calling the club Tigers Wests or WT just when people call us Balmain or Magpies.I am from the Tigers side of the club and both Balmain and Magpies are no longer part of the NRL but neither are forgotten
