Yep, need to keep Mitch and build a team around him, Woods, Teddy and Liddle. Love Brooks to stay but only on a much lower deal.
Think Mitch has really shown he's the real deal, you can really see all the hard work he has put into his kicking game and developing his body for NRL. Brooks seems to have hit his ceiling. I still think Brooks has a lot of talent however he'd be much better playing next to a veteran like Green, Maloney, Reynolds etc for a few years to take the pressure off and cover for his atrocious defence.

The trouble everyone has always compared Brooks and Moses from day one. They are completely different footballers. I suppose if you were forced to choose maybe Moses,as he has some freakish skills, but I guess we will know in a month how valuable Brooks is. My gut feeling is we will miss him big time.

Why do we keep forgetting that ALL clubs will have more money at the same time, plus they will still have the stack of TPAs that we find so hard to get

Anyway I am afraid their asking price for 2018 is rising fast and I guess the external interest will be great

The reality is that we can't keep both. We will lose one of our halves in 2018\. Just which one? I'd keep Moses.

We have the whole squad off contract in 2018\. Money will not be a factor in keeping Moses, brooks and Teddy. I believe the Tigers would let Woods go before the spine.

Playing well & really developing into his role. Funny tho, this is a perfect example of how our young halves have been inconsistent. A few weeks ago Brooks was the saviour, now it's Moses.

They're both still learning their trade & we need to be patient with them. **Looking forward to when they all (Moses, Brooks & Tedesco) all consistently fire together.**

We keep them all and they keep improving with the experience they gain = PREMIERSHIPS.

Put Liddle in there and the team will be a major threat to any of the top contenders every week….
A Premiership won't be to far away ....let's hope for some very exciting times ahead for our great club....

I hope you are right in relation to Liddle but time will tell. I think it's putting to much pressure on him.

**Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses not worth $600K: Brad Fittler**

WESTS Tigers’ poor form and that of halves Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses is likely to cost the duo any chance of significantly upgraded NRL contracts, according to Brad Fittler.

Brooks and Moses are off contract at season’s end, with their asking price said to be around $600,000 a season each.

However NRL great Fittler believes the pair are not worth anything close to that on the back of the Tigers’ 60-6 loss to Canberra on Saturday, their sixth successive defeat.

“C’mon … please ...” Fittler said on Channel Nine’s Sunday Footy Show.

“The first thing as a player, you have to be able to defend your line. They are not doing that very well.

“Luke Brooks does that pretty poorly, actually he gets out of the road a lot.

“You have to be able to do that because people can’t help you on the line.

“They most probably should start (to fix things) there.”

Having entered the season already under pressure amid the Robbie Farah saga, the heat is mounting for Tigers coach Jason Taylor.

Former Tigers lower grade coach Todd Payten, currently an assistant to Paul Green at North Queensland, has been mentioned as a possibility to take over at Concord.

Ivan Cleary is another. However Fittler said the Tigers’ problems stem from the players, not the coach.

“I think there were four or five tries scored from within five or six metres (of the tryline),” Fittler said.

“It doesn’t show much commitment.

“It is not Jason’s fault.

“They were not having a go there. It was just awful.”

Oh, I don't know. Personally I think Moses will miss the leadership skills of the injured number 1 hooker (so good he plays origin you know). He will be stressing about not having the strongest players around him (origin quality players). (He probably relies on the advice of this forum.) He will be seething at the stupidity of the coaches team selection. Theres just so much for him to worry about. Poor Mitch what will he do?

I get that you are trying to cause drama here but it doesn't prove that JT dropping Robbie is the right decision.

I expect like in life when someone gets shafted most people just do the best that they can for themselves. I doubt that Robbie's mates are out there slitting their wrists.

I remember Robbie backing up Moses a lot. He pushed for him to get into first grade and I'm pretty sure once when Moses was copping it in twitter or something Robbie said Mitchell is a gun and blocked the guy.

I know none of that fits your little story but what do you think happens if JT gets shafted tomorrow or whenever. Will the players revolt or will they just get on with their jobs ? I'm betting they will just get on with their jobs.

Not trying to cause drama at all. Merely reflecting the drama, the angst, the gnashing of teeth by many of the formers here and imagining how it would be if Moses shared that angst. But I don't think he does. And yes I agree, if Taylor moved on the team would get on with their jobs just fine, in the same way they are getting on with their jobs in the absence of the legendary hooker.

I have seen the team mob Robbie a few times after a try but I have never seen JT mobbed after a win - or it could occur after the TV channel has already shifted to the next game.

Apart from after a grand final , has a coach of any team been mobbed after a win ?

In a way perhaps it was lucky Moses and Brooks played poorly for so long until recent weeks so management did not need to pay them overs.

I don't know the inside of the club but I think you guys understand what i mean…

Cmon, we all know Mitch is just a few missed tackles off half the forum saying he's the worst playing to ever pull on a WT jumper and should be released immediately….

One good game: Moses is our future captain. One bad game: Moses is simply not up to NRL standard.

I think it's actually two good games but yep, that's the pattern!
