Paul Gallen has responded to explosive accusations made about him by Rebecca Wilson, saying that he has no respect for her opinion.

Wilson made the comments on a Sky News program last night, and claimed that Gallen was an "attention seeker" who is ultimately a drug cheat and not a hero.

Gallen's Response.
"Opinion from her means absolutely nothing," Gallen said.

"I take what she says with a grain of salt. She's an idiot as far as I'm concerned. I have no respect for her.

"The drug thing is something I have to accept - it was something that was introduced, supplied and given to us by the club. I have to accept with that.

"Unfortunately everything I do does attract attention…I don't ask for the cameras to turn up.

"I don't have any respect for her opinion and I don't know many people who do.

"She should look in the mirror at some of her past actions.

"I just think she has an agenda against rugby league in general."

Rebecca Wilson's comments.
"He is the greatest attention seeker in the rugby league, and that is saying something," Wilson said.

"Now we're going to go through the whole palava leading up to origin so it's all about him.

"He is a mercinary for the media.

"I don't care what I say about Paul Gallen. He has an asterisk next to his name, he is a convicted drug cheat and all this stuff about him being a hero is, to me, an absolute over-reaction to someone who is a pretty good footballer."

Safe to say that this woman is nothing but pure scum and it takes a pretty egotistical person to question someone's past when hers is pretty tainted. #beersoutforrebecca

Rebecca Wilson is a toilet. But she is spot on about Gallen, he most certainly is an egotistical flog and drug cheat.
About the only thing he is good for is belting Maroons players, that is his only upside and redeeming feature.

I really appreciate the way some of the (presumably) guys on this board comment on tactics in the game, as good as the pro commentators in many cases. And of course some of those previous champion players now paid commentators are very good at their job. Just when I hear a female commentator I wonder who wrote the script for her? Why aren't I hearing it out of Gould's or Sterlo's mouth? Do they really know what they are talking about?

And why do I appreciate good commentary because I was only taught how to play by Catholic nuns and know little of tactics.

That Sampson may be more knowledgeable than many fans but one can't compare that with the professional footie players with good footie brains, like my ex-first grade mate down the club. I imagine how Slater reads the game he would leave those lasses for dead for understanding the game. (and don't call them lasses)

It is our politically correct world these days that dictate that women must be seen to have an equal input into male dominated sports, and vice-versa when you hear men commentating the netball.
The reason most ex-NRL players aren't called upon to commentate is because despite having awesome knowledge of the game itself they cannot express themselves intelligently to save their lives : big Gordie being the most effective example, he is like water-torture.

You have to watch those Catholic Nuns as footy coaches, they would be masters at the ancient art of squirrel gripping for sure.

And 100 times better if is in the relevant game.

u know iam really getting sick of the P.C BRIGADE, we must have women doing this and we must have them doing that, why the hell we u just get the job for been a human been.was watching the AFL last weekend just browsing 3 -4 games and the amount of female trainers running water is like 10-1, soon it will be us blokes claiming unfair gender.

Easy on the eye , really approachable and friendly , typical country girl and has a talented old man as a footy player

She was more than happy to come and talk to all the kids after she played in the ladies SOO clash in Townsville last year

Look I'm not baging her its just the total unprofessionalism of the 9 network…..I really don't know why I watch. Great example was stand up man Sam Thaiday jokeathon cross to camp. Its just not on IMO.
