TEAM LIST Vs Panthers [Round 14]

Team List
They've got us covered on all bases

Just give it a good crack, I hope

Need to keep the F/A level
Other than Api and maybe Luai, I don't think I pick any of our players over Penrith.

All in the mindset to stay close enough and stay standing to win it at the bell. We need to fight harder in each tackle, relentless like speed and perfect kick chase. They've done this millions of times, just need to do it 300 more times in 80 minutes

This game could have a significant bearing on our finals chances.

For and against

-20 vs -60

We were +90 only 5 weeks ago
If we can turn up like Saints did against them and only lose by about 20 instead of 40 or 50 that would be ok. If St George can not let Penrith run riot with their weak roster surely we can do likewise.

The key to winning has to be our defence.

The Dogs win a few weeks ago was built on suffocating the ruck, bashing their middles and limiting Cleary's kicking game and second play options.

Hopefully Jarome turns up, because last year he was very average in both our losses. He seems to turn to butter against his old club.
Easier to do that against the Dogs, Penrith with the same opportunities will absolutely toy with us

No blow outs and no injuries is all I want. A win would have the NRL calling for an inquiry and checking for any suspicious bets!! At full strength it could have been a real contest, but with our injury toll we will struggle to get within 20

Who was saying this?
Didn’t get a name Ink, just an article saying that Bula was not 100% and would be given up to kick off to prove his fitness. I have been reading a bit about his injury and it seems surgery was discussed at one stage, so must be ongoing issues there. Let’s hope he is able to soldier on as we’ve seen how poor our full back situation is when he’s out.

Really tough ask for Charlie Murray here. Coming in to a pack with no Twal or Sam against a red hot Panthers pack and side. If he can do well that will say a lot.

I have been of the belief he is capable of being one of those low budget unheralded guys that can really contribute to a teams success. I had him starting the season at 13 with Twal in the front row, thats how confident I was. With the way the game is, a smaller, mobile 13 who works hard and can ball play is very important and Murray ticks those boxes.

Whatever he produces on Sunday, expect that to improve significantly if he ever got a chance with a full strength pack. Obviously I mean Sam back, Twal front row and Pole to the bench.

We can win this game ,,just need to start very very fast and good , get them on the back foot , turn the around , kick to corners , mix up the kicks not just bomb , try the 40/20 , grabbers , bombs , .
Defence is key everyone has to put in 101% and get up fast , Luai to hassle Cleary all game .
Tigers by 4

Also need the Panthers to realise a little and their origin players to coast through it

I thought he was bloody excellent in our first game against the Panthers last year. If it wasn't for a couple of dodgy calls against us, we go very close to winning that game.
