So we're replacing Ellis (players' player 3 years in a row) with a guy who has never played Rugby League???

We have signed 3 other players with NRL back row experience - Boedene Thompson, Eddy Pettybourne, Braith Anasta.
And this dude has played for the All Blacks and is a Super 15 starter?

I'm not complaining if we sign him!!

Will be just as effective as Injury Bill Williams and at a fraction of the price.

How much does he weigh & is he very mobile, & can he tackle.

That's just a silly and uninformed remark. Meeson is an inspirational leader, a hard as nails Kiwi who plays with immense physicality and attitude. You need to stop listening to Vautin and co and actually watch some games. Theres nothing wrong with defensive structures in Super XV. The job description of a forward in Rugby is much more than defending one channel and taking the odd hit up.

It's taken SBW four years to crack a starting spot, he's more myth than fact

He's a fantastic player (SBW) and almost every time would love to have him at his best but he's very poor value

I know this, hence reinforcing my belief that Messam will be a far more astute buy.

He's a fantastic RL player, but has been less than fantastic in RU. It's taken a fading, aged N'onu to provide a spot for SBW in the ABs. He could be a flanker in time, but no ones going to waste three years teaching him how to be an effective at 6 or 7

found this little pearler on youtube.

 seems like a bit of mongrel as well.

I sort of followed the Super League at the time but because Ellis didn't play for the team I followed I can't say he struck a chord with me, when he signed for the Tigers it was basically Gareth Who?, look what's happened since.

Awesome signing if true , this guy is a world class athlete ,

Being a flanker make him an extremely dynamic footballer ,

Based on what I have seen from him , I think most suitable position for him would be second row, could also be used as lock , centre ( I would not play him at centre in his first season of league ) and At 6'2 and 110kgs has the frane to play prop but that would not be a good use of him .

Looks like a question,( 3 q's in one) minus the question mark/s, to me.

Liam Messam tweeted: "who leaked that " in reply to someone speaking of the Rumour. I'm not sure whether it was sarcasm or not.
