Wait Lists

Have you ever wondered how come injured Footy players get into surgery almost immediately after their injury, while us punters, even those who have private health insurance have to wait weeks or months for a specialist consultation then a similar time for surgery even in a private hospital….

Dylan Walker broke his hand Sunday afternoon and was operated on 24hours later, Soward does his back and in less than 1 week has his operation….I wonder how the NRL boys get such a quick pathway to their injuries getting treated….

I bet they pay a lot more for health insurance than we do ?
Plus they're sports stars .

User pays…simple

If you pay you can get anything done immediately ...

im not sure but arent waitlists for like organs and stuff?

im guessing broken hands and whatnot are more easily operated on within a day or two.

i have heard of sports stars having it scheduled within a week or two weeks as well.

but yeah theyd pay a lot more.

Never heard of anyone waiting for surgery on a broken hand. You can walk into emergency on any day of the week and they will operate on broken bones.

The clubs would pay big top dollars to a surgeon to have their star players operated on as soon as possible.

Really? Most musculoskeletal surgeries are done asap. Cut my tendon on a Tuesday and had surgery on Friday in a public hospital.

I can't remember having massive waits on any surgery , but then again I'm pretty tuff , I pass on anaestetic , just bite down on the pistol and swig on that whisky lol
