Was Last Year's Side Better than 2015?

I wish it wasn't so but my answer is leaning towards the affirmative.

The present selected players are showing there not up to it ..but I think there are others in the club that could bring life to this team but my answer is no.

This time last year we were 2nd. But injury and drama then sparked a huge downward slide. Last years team also had 40 put on them at Leichhardt and 60 at Townsville. As poor as things were today we haven't been beaten like that this year. (so far …..)

Fact is we lost 5 players that would have added to our depth. Austin, Blair, Gavet, Thompson and Fulton would all make our Top 17 players.

I understand the need to balance the cap.

I just think we were weaker coming into this year and i really am puzzled by the hype around the team the first 6 weeks. I thought coming into the season it would be battle to run above 12th and I have no reason to change my mind.

In terms of experience, absolutely! But I bet our position financially is much stronger this year and will be even better next year.
