WATCHING GAMES OVERSEAS

Hey All,

I am currently living in Bologna, Italy and am dying to watch the games when they start.

Does anyone know any Italian Television stations that air them?
Or maybe streaming sites?

Seriously depressing thought that I will miss 3/4 of the season this year

With the new Telstra digital rights deal just done there will almost certainly be streaming options. From memory there was even talk you might even be able to stream via youtube when overseas.
 
As mentioned above, there should hopefully be some streaming options through Bigpond/Telstra by seasons start… I hope. Otherwise I have not been able to find any consistent good streaming options to watch games live. Your other option is torrents. PM me if you need any help or info on that!

Hello from Milano

In previous years they have shown it live on: http://www.nrl.livesport.tv/ (pay per view)
But if you follow the link, it says that in 2013 it wont be showing NRL this year.
If you try to watch bigpond video then it still sends you to the livesport.tv website.

The NRL All Stars was on: http://www.ustream.tv/NRLAllStars
But that was for regions with no tv access - and I actually found a good stream of it somewhere else.

I paid for livesport.tv in 2011 and it was good, but they probably didnt make too much money and dont want the rights.

Just saw Chris' link - looks like IMG have the rights but am confused as livesport.tv showed it 2012\. I guess they had to wait for livesport.tv agreement to finish or are trying to sell it.

Need to see what happens. Italy tends to have no coverage except for these streaming sites.
So that will be the best option - the IMG thing confuses me as I dont know why the All Stars was shown on ustream.tv (maybe they bought the rights from IMG or are simply the providers on behalf of them).

Thanks, I'll be overseas for 5 weeks from mid July. I click on the link and it doesn't work, does it only work outside of Australia?
 
In San Francisco at the moment will be giving all avenues a try to get some viewing of games .Will probable resort to radio and next day highlights from NRL.
 
I was at Uni last year in a Hostel filled with rugby heads and never got to watch a game on TV, So I resorted to http://www.vipboxsports.me/sports/rugby.html. Not the greatest quality but it never let me down :slight_smile:
 
woke up and watched the roosters game replay and the picture was pretty good on full screen.
not sure how quickly they got the replay up but it was good to sleep in and watch some footy with breakfast.
seeing as we are playing pretty much all night games i will probably go this route all year.

A fellow supporter from far west NSW PMed me the other night enquiring where he might be able to watch our games…...Ive no idea on this but can someone PM me any info. cheers

This is the NRL streaming website for anyone overseas. Its free.

And it also blocked, saying not available in your area ?
 
According to the NRL it should be

But specifically for Kong Kong it looks like the below carries the rights unsure if it needs a subscription or not.

Any other region goes through the previous website I listed.
