I have supported Balmain since 1993, and Wests since 2000, and this is only the 2nd time I have had the pleasure of watching my teams in the finals. I am shattered about last night, but **the feelings I am feeling right now I would rather be experiencing than the feelings of nothingness I have felt in 9 of the 10 other seasons the Wests Tigers have taken part in, or the feelings that 8 other teams would be feeling this finals series.**
I have sat and watched us miss 4 consecutive finals series before this year, and who knows when we will be in there again. So while our opportunity is here, I urge everyone who possibly can to get up and get to Canberra next week. Lets support the boys the whole way here, in any way you possibly can. Let show the boys we believe in them. We have been written off already, we are no hope, we apparently have no players, we are now making up the numbers, our season is apparently done and dusted.
Lets get behind them, show the boys that WE BELIEVE in them. Lets stand behind our boys, start a petition, a “we believe” facebook page, whatever… showing the amount of people who believe in this side. To the game bring your flags, giant or small, your banners, make a banner even. Our guys will turn up, and give there all, and anyone who can possibly get off work I urge to get down there. The game will be sold out within 20 minutes on Tuesday, and we will be lucky to have 1000 Tigers supporters there (if you know any member get them to get you tickets Monday). I hope, that all us tigers supporters can sit in the Tigers supporters area, and make as much noise as possible, and let this side know we are behind them. As they have done us proud this year. And regardless of the result, and if the expected happens and we bail out, then we all stand and applaud the boys for what they have done this year. In 18 seasons this is the 2nd most successfull Tigers side I have ever seen, and its a strange game is rugby league, and it might not be another 5 years until we get the honour of watching them play in September again, so lets do everything possible to enjoy the week ahead and do what we can to live for one more.
