Wow no way. Ellis was a million times better than Lawrence. In fact, even though he's about 100 years old i'd still prefer him to Lawrence now.
You are over estimating how good Ellis was and underestimating how good Lawrence is.

Ellis was great no doubt, but he is not a million times better than Lawrence now. He is injury riddled now and a shadow of his former self.
Couldn't disagree more. Comparing the two players is laughable, it's like comparing Tedesco with Daniel Fitzhenry. Ellis was brilliant for us when he was here - one of the best second rowers in the NRL.
No disrespect to Lawrence but he'd be lucky to get a start with any other team in the NRL excluding Newcastle.
