Hard to argue with Lot of peeps on this forum sooooo much negativity. We literally let go the core of our club. If those players wanted to stay they wpuld have have and for sooooo much coin.
Like everyone else i have an opinion. We turned over our best players. Purchased a few has beens and some dudes to change our culture. Our big signing got injured and we were blessed with a has been that exceeded expectation.
Now if we add up our injuries the dudes we took punt on and our deadwood surely people see we overachieved. We screamed last year for people to be held accountable for their play… for the most part they have been..... we screamed for better defense.... we got it. Its hard to say this was unsuccessful truth is if we dont win those early games peoples expectations are not realistic.

So if the team overachieved in coming 9th (at best)something is wrong at the club. The last coach was sacked ti stop another season sliding. That season slid and this season slid.

It really is that simple.
In 2016 several pundits had us in the Top 8 or fringe Top 8.
With Addo Carr and Tedesco this year we would have been a Top 4 team.
But it was all screwed up.
Its a miracle we finished 9th this year with the rubbish that went on in 2017\. Thought we would be hopeless this year. I thought they did ok. Most people had us pencilled in for the spoon. I'm not saying lets all celebrate finishing 9th again but in the context of where our club was in the beginning of 2017 its something. Sadly I think next year we could be backwards.

It doesn't add up.
The club is under achieving on the whole. 7 years of missed finals in a row is a gross failure. 3 finals in 19 years or whatever - its a horrible record really. I think everyone knows that.
Im purely saying based on the team we put on the field this year we over achieved. We had a 14th to 16th placed roster without a shadow of a doubt. We were a disgraceful laughing stock in 2017 with an inept coach and our best players leaving the club. That was a time we should have been on the rise with a young and somewhat talented roster despite us lacking depth.
Now we have signed a bunch of journeyman and competed hard to get to 9th. Im pleased with their effort this year on the field given i had very low expectations. However Im not at convinced the rebuild will work with some of these signings.
I think you can seperate the two somewhat.

From the middle of this season its a fail.
Do you see any improvement in the club since we dumped Sheens Eddie? It just seems like groundhog year.
