We Should Aim to Make the Top 4

Eddie I love your positivity but what happened in 2005 is what the Odds were at the time 80/1 , a very rare thing…...also in 2004 we only just missed out in the Semi Finals with a loss in our Round 26 game vs the Knights if memory serves me right ? so we were building up a good side .

2015 we just missed out on the Spoon on percentages and after loosing Taupau and the sagas we have had and the Media at us ? It would be a massive achievement making the 8 let alone the Top 4 .

Don't mean to sound like a sour puss but much prefer to be pleasantly surprised rather than getting my hopes up like i did in 2012 when we signed Adam Blair and thought to myself at the time.....Man this is our year Gareth Ellis and Adam Blair ching ching.

Not taking nothing away Eddie and love the Positivity but i'm more of a Realist and think if we finish better than 13th on the Ladder ? we have had a good year .

Id say my expectations are very similar to yours.

On the OP….I guess as we saw with Mayer and his goals in 2013 ( top 8 - 2014, top 4 - 2015, GF 2016)....if you reach too high too soon and fail, the only way is down

Where you finish on the ladder only becomes relevant around round 20-22.

You need team & individual objectives broken into 3 parts of the season, matched with week to week indicators.

I don't think players should be worrying about where we will finish until maybe the last few games of the season. Waste of thought and energy.

I would have thought every player should be thinking we will win, every time they run out in our colours. If there are players that do not think this way - they should be sought out and dropped to reggies until their contract is up and let go.

No room for defeatists.

We will win each game - just a matter of the margin.

Isn't that every teams aim…finish as high up the ladder as possible...

The goal should not to be lose back to back games and win as many on the trot as possible...We have shown we can get up for games against most top teams but then fall to pieces against teams that we should be more competitive against and beat....

I like the aim of top 4 (like 2005) and I also like this goal. I remember we had a great win streak in 2005 like the Cowboys did last year and it gave the players a feeling of invincibility while also devastated them when they lost. Perfect emotions to drive a winning team.

o.k. so everyone of u above me is either writing these coments while been fast asleep, or ur all on the grog. yes we can all dream and look where dreaming has got leicester city. BUT we have a COACH/ MANAGER called JT who is a drop kick and unless he lets these kids play what they see, we are looking at the bottom 2 without a doubt. i have no doubt that if he lets moses and brooks play either side of the ruck and run the show we could sneak into the eight. i have my fingers crossed.
