We will not forget?
I can guarantee if we are winning next year everyone will forget about this years problems and jump on a winning bandwagon.
To be honest it's been a bad year and it's nearly over - hopefully things will be better next year.
No need for everyone to start crying in their cornflakes.

What do you put "the bad year" down to cktiger?

Maybe those who are ranting here (and I agree with them) are doing so because we don't know who or what is to blame for how the last few weeks have turned out. Those who have been part of this rubbish need to know that we have long memories.

I agree … What I'll never forget is the way Farah carried on !

Congrats, Tiger in the Gong. You nailed it. Maybe a few hundred copies of your post can be handed to officials by members at the "party" before the game on Saturday and at the ground to supporters generally? I'm happy to do my bit of photocopying to help it happen. With you permission TitG, of course.

Hi LCA, Thanks , Its an open letter so im happy for you or anyone else to do with it as they please.

Honestly i have no optimism that anything any one of us does will change the minds of the people that matter, there is an incompetence being presented at the moment that their arrogance will never see.

The latest situation with Blake Austin just confirms everything i had outlined or thought. No successful club gets rid of Blake Austin at this point. He has been the only one trying! They can spin it any way they want and talk about him demanding the 6 jersey but end of the day no successful NRL club gets rid of Austin after what he has shown. Its political.

Thanks to everyone who agreed with what i had written. Cheers to those who didnt,i expected more of them.

I was watching the bunnies/chooks game tonight. In the pre-game, Sterlo, Johns and Fittler were talking about the relative merits of Sam Burgess and Sonny Boy Williams. The respect that these commentators held for the two mentioned players was obvious.
This had me thinking about respect and had me casting my mind back to the pre season and early season where forum members were posting that the Tigers weren’t respected by other teams. I remember thinking that it would only take a few weeks to turn that around. The Tigers, in the form they were showing early, would be demanding respect throughout the comp. So it seemed.
This season the Tigers have been defeated. What’s sad is, they have not been defeated by other teams, they have been defeated by their own organisation.
Do the Wests Tigers demand respect? How can they? Wests Tigers are designed to fail from within.
I apologise that I can’t remember which forum member made a statement along the lines that ‘consistent mediocrity is the culture of the club’. I thought that was pretty harsh when I first read it but I am now seeing the value of the statement. It sums up Wests Tigers.
The questions for me are; do I respect this organisation? Do I accept a culture of mediocrity? What can I do about it?

I'll be watching every game and attending my usual 6 or 8 per year…but not as a member

I need to kno my $$$$ won't be pissed up against the wall again

Yes, I won't be renewing either. Will be the first time in seven years.

I'll still attend games, but not as a member.

Well the upside for me is I will get even better grandstand seats

Thick and thin. Ups and Downs. I will be there.

Best board in the comp bar maybe Roosters.

Gong, I love your passion. Unfortunately, you like many have been swept up in the stories and believe what you read, and then spice it a little with your passion.

In fact in this case it's even worse than that. You grab a story about Austin being chased by the Raiders and turn it into bagging the club for trying to get rid of him. I am guessing it is an accident and you love the club (probably like the old board)

A deep breath and a read of the new boards CVs will do everyone the world of good!

Go the Tiges!!

Tiger in the Gong… Like you and most of us on here I'm a dire hard WT member and supporter.. Your post is the best I have come across on this forum.. Ever ...I agree 100% with your post.. Congratulations.

Mayer, the new Board and Potter( for your appreciation of him) should be sent this post

"The role Grant Meyer played in this season’s debacle will never be forgotten. The Channel 9 footage capturing his interaction with Potter immediately after another loss and the way he then gestured to Kidwell said more in those few seconds than any of his previous carefully worded media statements."

I'd like to see that. I didn't catch it live. He's a real piece of work isn't he?

Getting that sinking feeling that everything that shouldnt be happening is about to happen.

Potter gone.

Austin Gone.

Meyer seems to be over stepping his role actively recruiting and releasing players again.

New coach to have his hands tied with a squad he didnt chose and support staff he didnt pick, once again.

Hoping im wrong but about ready to give up!

I hope the club never forgets what happened this season so they can ensure it rarely if ever happens again in the future

As expected Potter is gone and most of the other key players keep their jobs.

I dont agree with the decision but accept the need for change. However i can not for one minute stomach the media statement by Grant Mayer, absolutely pathetic and i can see straight through it.

I expect Parish to be named coach and Folkes, Smith or Taylor the GM, just cant see it any other way.

Its not a bad direction to take and should bring success but i cant let go of the way its been handled, i wont forget and those responsible can go and you know what!

i took care of that this year.
i was burnt the year before

If I can use the words of Paul Keating ….. "This is the clean out we had to have" ....... but lets hope we can bring home the bacon in the near future. I will definitely be renewing next year as a Gold Member again as I believe the good times are just around the corner. After enduring the pain no way am I going to miss the gain.

I think we have finally hit rock bottom

When a comment from the worlds best Treasurer can be related to our club

God help us all

And while we're on that tack happy; Well may we say "God help us all", because nothing will help Wests Tigers.
Apologies to G. W.
