Website Updates and Changes

The new server is now ONLINE

Unfortunately we lost about an hour or two worth of posts from Thursday evening during the transfer.

There are a few little bugs to iron out, but generally people should notice better performance and integration.
Please post [here](http://www.weststigersforum.com/index.php/forums/viewforum.php/f,17/start,0/) if you come across any issues.

Thanks

Good work.

I am now living overseas so this site is exactly what I need in order to stay in the loop with the Tigers news! The iPhone app also sounds exciting.

Congratulations to Kaiser and Kul and the other unknowns behind the scenes, who are responsible for the new web site.

It is simply AWESOME and the future proposals will leave all other club sites way behind. Much of the joy in using and contributing to this site, comes from the strict controls on what is posted. As an older forum member, it is nice to be able to let my 9 year old grand-son read the posts of interest to him without the trash on other sites.

Topic Text on mouse-hover is now online.

It only works when you are hovering over the thread title in that thread's forum, not from the "last post" link. I'll see if I can fix this

Commenting is now available on news articles on the frontpage

Hi kul,I log in on the home page and all is well there but when I go to the Forum i have to log in again. Is this the go now with the new Forum…..

Only save/cancel on the PDF option. Would be nice to have an open button as well.

I'm running Win 7 & IE8 and have a slight rendering problem on the home page. On the Last Match section the Read Review button is cut in half (height wise) cutting the text in half. All other buttons seem OK.

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet but I get this at the top of page 9 in the contract discussion>Chris Lawrence thread.

edit: also appears on top of pages 1 and 2 of the "NRL Official and Rumoured Signings for 2011 Season" thread

Not sure if you are aware,

I received the following error when accessing the First Grade Live Game Thread.

yeah for some reason the server shat itself
its back now
i'm following it up…

What's this mean? Just curious

Ive seen it a few times now, forget the first username, but the next two were 'Coca - Cola' and now 'The Phantom"
Some sort of copyright issue?

For those who are interested, I approached InvisionFree (the old forum) about getting a copy of the old forum's database so that it could be imported into here. The idea was to import the old forum's posts and threads into this forum as there were posts there dating back to 2004.

Whilst it's technically possible, InvisionFree were quoting US$3000 for a copy of the database. I managed to get them down to US$495, but that's still far to high.

So the idea is to just continue as we have been doing and keeping http://z4.invisionfree.com/wests_tigers_forum open in Read-Only mode for as long as possible.

Unless InvisionFree offer a much more reasonable price or funds magically appear out of no where, I see no other alternative.
