We're Just Not Good Enough to win this year !!!!

Tonights effort has been coming for months.

We had been falling over the line against the weaker teams in the comp for a period now and now their luck deservedly ran out.

There has been a multitude of reasons for this;

* lack of a recognised halfback since Moltzen went down - Sheens lack of perception entirely at fault. Lui has very little impact on the game in a position where you generally have an impact player.

* lack of structure and cohesion - tonights effort was abysmal - probably the major reason we have played so poorly for quite a while now.

* unfortunate injuries to key players namely Moltzen and for tonight McKinnon as well as others throughout the year.

* habit of not actually being able to play 6 tackle football. Effectively we generally play 3 tackle football as our first three tackles usually finish up all happening on the same spot as the forwards continually angle in at the markers get smashed and have no yardage advantage.

* Poor quality of coaching of the pack for an old forward like Sheens he has shown them no skills eg supporting the ball carrier - recently started playing off the shoulder of the man with the ball good to see.

* lack of a quality goalkicker - good effort by Benji tonight but his record is poor and we have no alternative.

* Coaches words must now not being listened to. The motivation has been there all year - have played little quality football and now against a team drastically reduced in quality and having had a belting from them we put up this rubbish.

Sheens is really under the gun now and on tonights efforts we have a long way to go to match any of the quality sides.

Slipup and he is gone as Coach - the team knows this and has not yet responded.

Its essential the side is added to in the offseason with one - preferably two quality players. This talk of our juniors are good enough doesn't cut iyt anymore.

Unfortunately when we miss out on the semis again and If he walks which Im sure he wont…..its hard for a new coach to buy what he needs in november....get ready for another average 2011

i can easily see us losing our remaining matches given the way we are playing. which p%$#es me off as i know what we can do. if we dont shape up even if we make it we will be bundled out quickly. we are rudderless team at the moment and look too carefree for my liking

Well you don't have to buy to much at all a 1/2 a front rower and you already have a premiership winning team pretty much already.. a new coach could walk in no problem in my view …I have thought for some time the team itself is waiting for a new coach and drection that's the impression i'm getting from the onfield performances.

With the lucky calls we've had all year last night was a bit of karma. Don't think we will give the comp a shake either this year, if we make the 8 on performances like recent weeks we will be cannon fodder in the finals.

Could a new coach do a better job with the current roster? I don't think so, but only time will tell.

A Guaranteed finals appearance.

And don't you look quite the fool….a lesson to all that we shan't speak too early.

I have to agree with Bismark here.

I would like to urge and encourage all loyal fans on this forum to get behind the Tigers over the few remaining rounds to help our boys build some momentum into the finals. Let’s all focus our energy on positive posts from here on in. The time for negative posts and doomsday predictions are well and truly over – today we guaranteed ourselves our first finals birth since 2005! As fans, we have had to endure four heartbreaking seasons to reach this point (again) ….now let’s just bloody enjoy it!

Please fasten your seatbelts, put your seats in the upright position, stow away your tray tables and sit back and enjoy the flight of the Wests Tigers assault on the 2010 NRL Premiership…..it is going to be one hell of a ride and we are about to go take off !
