i think we definitely expected Matamua to come on quicker than what he has which has left a vacuum of sorts. Joffa heading for the exits has only compounded the issue further.
for me it makes plenty of sense that we’re after Frizell. it allows us to push Bateman to 13 and still have a quality right edge back rower. it also means that Matamua and Blore have time to develop and can push their way into the side, as opposed to being called upon prematurely. they both need time, but make no mistake once they get some consistent footy against men under their belts they will only continue to improve.
