Wests Review Balmains Contribution

Daniel Lane writing of the turmoil at the Wests Tigers wrote on smh.com this morning,

"The drama doesn't end there as the Wests Magpies - a 50 per cent stakeholder in the merged club - are monitoring Balmains ability to honor all of their joint financial commitments considering they're millions of dollars in debt".

We are clearly living in interesting times …

Sounds like a great time to bring a matter such as this up. Club's in "turmoil" and they want to push their own agendas?? Surely now is not the time?

Mate, if your flatmate is paying no rent and continues to eat all the food in the fridge … You've gotta have a word ... No matter whether they're feeling a bit poorly at this very moment or not.

And they couldn't wait another week to do so?? Not having a go at them for bringing what is a valid concern to light, more the timing. There are bigger, albeit short term, concerns right now. To be fair also the article does not suggest that they bought it up as such during the meeting. It could infact be old news.

I think the relationship is slightly different

Maybe in sickness and health is more appropriate

I see us as more a marriage bringing a whole heap of weird relatives together who may not always see eye to eye but hope the married couple last until "death do us part"

I said it a few weeks ago , Wests Magpies are now cooperating because they now it is just a matter of Time before Balmian go broke ,

This won't change anything at NRL level , Wests would be mad to go back to being magpies , as they would be forfeiting a big chunk of thier support

But it will definatly change things at NSW Cup level

The issue neds to be addressed.Just cause you read it in the paper as some ''rumor" dont take it as gospel as this is how its playing out.Balmain has been broke for quite some time and in all honesty Wests silence has been deafening.I think that Wests deserve a round of applause for their stance of staying loyal to a sinking balmain ship.In saying this the Balmain will come good again whether it be through the development or in another capacity.I dont think the Wests tigers are helped by "Agenda conspiracy theorist" everytime something substandard is questioned whether it be sheens, humphreys or Balmain leagues. To use your words Tigerpete now is surely not the time. And for the record I Am a Balmain fan.
