Hmmmm..So Doueihi on the bench...and no 80 min hooker..interesting..

The only way that could work with interchanges would be to have Benji moving to 9 at some point with Doueihi going to 5/8. That way there wouldn't need to be Doueihi plus a utility hooker on the bench.

That’s the only way it would work but somehow I think Doueihi will be fullback come round 1. Having him on the bench while we don’t have a proper hooker doesn’t seem like a good move to me. Reynolds and Walters both earned a spot in the team

Yeah no idea what chammas is talking about.
Douihei is lethal and needed at the back.

Maybe CT gets the wing spot over George.

I'd have Jennings and Thompson on the wings.
Any decent winger will score heaps of tries running off BJ - Nofo is just terrible reading the defence.
Should have had 3 tries scored down his wing if the warriors were any good.

Can't disagree but I think Nofo is locked in.

Didn't you give Nofoaluma points in the 3 2 1...

Missing the point as always?

He had a great game.
But the defensive issues he's always had will leak points against better teams.

He's locked in at wing anyway

Are you agreeing with Thompson and Jennings on the wings or not..not what you think..but what you prefer..

I like the BJ x Nofo combo and think it'll be unreal for us this year.

Other side I'd like Momo (Centre) x Corey (Wing)

I think this works well as once twal goes if we make a double change and bring on Taylor to make up the defence as both twal and Taylor are probably are best defenders...also we need the extra punch we get with Aloiai in the middle as the opening stanza is often very ruff...as for Clarke and Hutu I believe the are good depth options for twal and Et wouldn’t have more then 2 of them in the team as I believe we need Musgrove, mikaele and Aloiai to add punch

Aloisi doesn't have the workrate to play lock.

Alioia is our very own Budget JT...use him in stints leaving ET to help our D in the middle portion of the game which is where we seem to fade out....i don’t understand the term impact prop...like is he still going to play 40 mins? Yes better to use him in stints instead of taking the mid 40 workload imo...plus we need his aggression when we have twal on...twal, mikaele/Musgrove Aloiai is great go forward for the toughest part of the game regarding forwards

Impact forward;

Comes on from the bench.
Runs hard, offload (create second phase play) and make big hits.

He did this in the trial yesterday but appeared to gas.

So he can be used throughout the game for how ever long is needed in stints to come on and make a huge difference in the game.

I feel Mikaele can do the same.
Come on fresh and rip teams to shreds.

They have an intimidation factor.
teams should be fearful when they come on because they will cause problems.

Is that explained?

Can’t he do that starting? I think madge left him in for too long imo...i feel he should be out there for more than 20 mins. All Ik is that we have 3 big boppers ready to make meters in Aloiai, mikaele and Musgrove...it’s up to madge how he cycles them in during the game I guess

17. MCK

Walters could be 9 but I think him, Mbye and Reynolds are all similar as far as being able to cover hooker and 5/8. One has to miss out. At this stage it'd be Walters IMO.

Would prefer to have Aloiai, Luciano and Mikaele all coming off the bench as impact players but Aloiai would get the starting nod over blokes like ET, Huth and Clark who would all just miss out on a spot.
We've got a few options in the forwards which is a great dilemma for once.

Can’t see Lawrence in the first 17 this year...if injuries happen great player to call upon

Lawrence is no guarantee but he has the runs on the board, would be surprised not to see him in the 17 come Round 1.

He barely plays the ball,,, not sure if we can pick him mate

Haha have noticed that for years with Lawrence.....he ALWAYS makes sure he plays the ball with his foot instead of rolling it back and he usually makes it look awkward as hell!

That's my opinion anyway.

We got some solid workers who can match it with the opposition then unleash the beasts from the bench.

Douihei is lethal and needed at the back.

Maybe CT gets the wing spot over George.

I think you're right, but he was dropped last year... and Madge is big on defence.
I thought Jennings had a solid game - and a big body like him running off BJ would be lethal (as was Rapana).

I dont think Jennings is overly big or lethal.
Nofo is a definitely a better runner but much smaller in height.

I think BJ x Nofo will be the pairing and I'm looking forward to seeing it carve up.

Just hope Nofos defensive issues are ceased.

Jennings is a giant ... I met him at Magic Round...
He has no mongrel or fighting spirit at all.

Jennings has worked hard and I was impressed with his turn of pace in the 9s. It comes down to who you can rely on to score and also defend safely and that is Jennings.

Aloiai at lock
Taylor on bench lock for me
I think this works well as once twal goes if we make a double change and bring on Taylor to make up the defence as both twal and Taylor are probably are best defenders...also we need the extra punch we get with Aloiai in the middle as the opening stanza is often very ruff...as for Clarke and Hutu I believe the are good depth options for twal and Et wouldn’t have more then 2 of them in the team as I believe we need Musgrove, mikaele and Aloiai to add punch

Aloisi doesn't have the workrate to play lock.

Is this the Aloisi your talking about
