Wests Tigers announce 2015 Football Department

More likely to be newer and more specific titles and roles replacing old and outdated ones.

Think Skando's official title was was "the guy who puts out cones, cleans the gym and encourages players to push themselves"

All good appointments. Happy with these now let's see what they can deliver!

Why do people have to use good news for the club to take an underhand swipe at some of our club legends? If an example is needed, read the above post re Skando who has just been made a life member after a distinguished career with us and, although we have obviously gone in a far more professional direction in S&C, I have no doubt did his utmost in that job.

Another example? Chris Lawrence being labelled a muppet by some pond life in another thread. He has been a great player in the past and through injury or just loss of form hasn't been able to perform his past feats. I hope that with our new S&C department he may regain some of what he was.

even the job descriptions are a step in the right direction.
i'm looking forward to the Taylor era.

this isn't the taylor era, it's the independent board era.

full of businessmen who take advice from professionals in the area like Moss, mayer etc. not boofhead props they loved to have a few schooners with after footy games back in the day.

On the football department it's good to see clearly defined roles.....Reddy is an interesting addition an Old Head among a relatively young coaching staff.....I like it...

Why do you like the Reddy appointment? I think it's weird. A very strange move. What has he been doing of late in NRL circles? Surely there are more contemporary "old heads" than Rod Reddy. He's not old, he's ancient. He's from another era of rugby league.

Seems like a beefed up department which is great. Lets hope they can all get on the same page. I reckon the big benefit will hopefully he keepings players on the paddock and a quicker return to full fitness once they are injured.

Rod Reddy seems a strange appointment. Anyway lets see how it all goes. Every thing is rosy now however lets remember we will have essentially the same squad that has done bigger all for three years so lets see.

Rod Reddy is an interesting and out of left field appointment.

Good to see someone with a bit of mongrel, hope it rubs off on our forwards!!

Are you suggesting Roach and Skando and Sironen didn't have a bit of mongrel? They've been booted and Reddy appointed.

JT has organised to have one on one meetings with most of the players on Monday and Tuesday before training kicks off again next Wednesday.

Everyone is impressed with JT and unlike dumbo Potter JT knows the players are the most important people at the club.

Can we lay off Potter - you got what you wanted - he is gone!
He was a terrific guy with no power, what did you expect. You give nothing you get nothing.

Let's move on for God's sake.

Now …now... Irvine, hasn't your mama taught you not to call people names?

All seem like good appointments. Rod Reddy is definitely a blast from the past. Almost felt obliged to check my calendar to see what r it was. Very random.

Blocker was a joke. Spent most of his time at W/T opening his mouth when it should've been shut. Reddy won't be doing the same job as Skando, who no doubt did the best he could with the experience and knowledgehe had, I had no problems withSironenWorking with the teams either.
Reddy maybe a dinosaur in some eyes , but is hopefully capable of installing a bit of toughness in our pack. ( something that tends to drop off quite regularly in our teams)
While we have some good players in our teams , they very seldom scare the opposition. Not being a yuppie 25 yr old doesn't prevent you from working with a first grade team. Oh and yes another thing. Reddy was a winner in fact, and in mindset. Something that needs to be instilled in some here.
