@ said:@ said:@ said:I was a longtime suffering Bunnies fan that became a Tigers member about an hour after Michael Maguire signed on as Head Coach of the Wests Tigers.
2014 was such a bittersweet year for me as I went through severe personal loss and it got to the point where I felt so empty that I couldn't truly enjoy and celebrate the Bunnies victory but what Madge did for the club to get them to 21 premierships was magical, absolutely magical.
On a personal growth once I overcame what I went through the climb back was special as I knew Souths had won the premiership and i could truly draw in what had happened and how much of an effort it was for the Coach to turn around a dud side into a premiership force starting with three consecutive Top 4 Finishes.
I don't know Madge at all personally but he gave me hope not only as a Souths fan but giving me that focus to continue on and better my situation and begin a growth mindset - I am so damn thankful for premiership #21.
Every day is a new learning curve and it feels good to be part of something different and something that will grow and evolve.
I've got a cousin who follows the Tigers and a mate of mine recently passed from cancer who was die-hard black and orange.
It just felt right to come and be a part of the Tigers all things considering.
You're all on a winner under Madge - Mark my words.

I hate souths (as a lot of old Balmain fans do) and most Souffs fans.
I want to thank you for such a heart felt and open introductory post. Mate I hope that the things you have had to face are improving and you come out the other side a better person. You already have, you are on the Tigers bandwagon. As far as Im concerned you are very welcome here mate.
Hope you are right about Madge, I have a good feeling.
I appreciate it - I was actually a bit worried that I would be called a bandwagoner as I am essentially only here because the new coach is but I'd like to think everything happens for a reason and I was mean't to become a supporter of the Tigers.
Both Wests and Balmain are both foundation clubs with a lot of the elder supporters having decades and decades of wonderful stories as opposed to a supporter that is hours old.
I can take the banter, It's all good!
Yeah nah, too early to be a bandwagoner. I dont think it exists yet. If we push into the semis it will get rolling, but you will be on early. Regardless you are welcome. There was no better fit than Balmain & Wests.
We are one, and you are part of it. Enjoy.
