Considering Hodgson and Webster are pretty poor coaches this is a bit disappointing... watching CC running around last season pointed there needed to be a coaching change . Oh well the same old same old continues !

Western Suburbs Magpies would like to announce Wayne Collins as our new Canterbury Cup NSW coach for Season 2020.

During his playing career, Wayne played 106 first grade games with the Canberra Raiders, St George Dragons and South Queensland Crushers, including the Dragons’ back to back Grand Final appearances in 1992 and 1993.

He finished his playing career with the Leeds Rhinos in 1997 and has had assistant coaching roles with the Penrith Panthers, Raiders, and most recently, the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

This new appointment will see 2018 & 2019 Magpies CCNSW coach Brett Hodgson move to full time assistant coaching role to Michael Maguire at Wests Tigers.

The Wests Magpies assistant coach will be Jason Peterson

Strange to mention his playing career which finished over 20 years ago but make no reference of his coaching achievements over the past 20 years...

It’s just the way it is. People are more impressed with playing records for coaches then coaching records for coaches.
If anyone could fill in the coaching blanks, greatly appreciated. All I know is he was part of Madge’s set up in 2014-15-16 as an assistant then moved to Dragons to coach the 20s. Last year he was a halves coach for the warriors and also coached the Bunnies SG ball team.
