WESTS TIGERS MEMBER COUNT 2011.

I re-signed yesterday & signed my Brother up,
We're only on Stripes, i goto a fair few games at LO & SFS but am happy to just pay at the gate but also help out the club with some money by being a member.

My housemate and I joined up for 2011 (He Danish and only started following league last year he went from not having a team but wanting to spend the year deciding to having a tigers jersey and membership by the end of the year)

I think "the line that divides" is a great line and I know it kind of inspired me to do my bit and join up

I think the packs are ok but the promotion of the memberships and the organisation of them leaves a fair bit to be desired. I work in product and marketing for a major bank and their are a lot of areas I see where the tigers could do better but fair go to them the club has become more and more professional each year in so many areas and the membership program seems to have got better over the years but its one area we have still have a way to go and I think it stands out more because we are so professional and leading the comp in other areas like sponsorship, crowds, player behaviour, community engagement that membership needs to catch up. In saying that if I am going to winge like I have here I should send my thoughts to the club on what they could do so I will put something together for them and send it through in case it can help

p.S..117 the stupid white bunny is the only thing that gives me ROAD RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

How is the sticker

Simple yet effective I hope.

I hate the Bunny but I love (Jealous) seeing it about

Well done to every member out there.

5253 as on 19 Jan

they can add one more to that now.

I've been a vocal critic of the club since the debacle of 06/07, particularly in regards to some of their questionable business decisions made during that period and extending back to before the GF. Whilst always remaining a Balmain member, my 'protest' was in reply to well-documented grievances held by many diehard WT fans.

-Extra games at Leichhardt (and CO)
-No more games at ANZzzzz and a good agreement with Moore Park
-Excellent signings
-Fantastic corporate sponsorship
-Non-nonsense approach to business
This is the direction that WT were not heading in the past but are now. Humphreys and the team at Concord have done a remarkable job and I'm impressed, so i'm happy to have put my money where my mouth is! He's given me the confidence to sign up as a member for the first time in a long time. I hope others do too!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ what he said and I blame Sheens actually…with Humphreys assistance...

Funny how when we tanked in the 4 years after the GF Win...crowds were still up there with the best in the NRL..Now we have a squad capable of being ultra competitive against any NRL team people should cross the line that divides and become a Member...

Nothing beats a 'LIVE' WESTS TIGERS GAME... :wahoo:

Yeah absolutely…I'm a member who is Canberra based. I make it to as many as I can but would be a member in some form regardless.

I know that is AFL type culture but I think it is the best aspect of their sport. They support the club more than the team.

Wouldnt it be nice to have 10K by kick off...

2011 - 5356 member as @ Friday 21st Jan according to NRL.COM

2010 - 6526 Members

We should hybrod but realistically considering our fan demographic it is not a suprise. Families with young kids find it impossible to commit to a full season of games and it will take several years more in my estimation for the membership or limited ticket options to become well know.

We all know about it but, lets face it, if you are hear you are not a casual fan and casual fanbase attendance at our games and the variance of different people within that group from game to game make it a long term project.

I can say with confidence that the increase in grades of membership is substantial on last year. Gold and Silver packages are far more popular than last season

We claim to have one of the bigger viewerships in the NRL - thus far we have been unable to convert it into ticketed members who want to go to games.

I am looking forward to becoming a Member in 2013 -

4 kids and 3 under 5 at the mo.

Having said that I will be accepting Geo's offer to tag along for a game or 2 in 2011\. (Dont worry Geo, you can jump in the Tarago with the young spartans 11 and 27)

Our crowds are good but our membership levels are relatively low because of the reasons that have already been outlined - the commitment factor combined with the cost benefits of being a member. Once you take out the gear they send you, it's not really worth being a member unless you want a guaranteed seat. If you can only go to Cambo and sign up for all the games, you run the risk of having Monday or Friday night games you might not be able to go to because of kids or work. Which leaves you with the upgraded stripes membership as the only option for these people. Better off just paying at the gate once you can guarantee you can make it.

IMO they should ditch the Cambo/SFS/Leichhardt options and just make the packages based on game numbers. Last year the tickets (as I recall) were generic and you could really use them for any home game but someone looking on the website doesn't necessarily know this. They might think "yeah I will probably go to 4 or 8 games during the year but I don't know if I would go to all 4 at Leichhardt". For some its about the timing rather than location of games.

Also how about having a draw for members who go to the game? It could be as simple as writing your membership number on the entry ticket when you go in. Winner gets a signed jumper or something special. As I said before, last year they had some lucky row promotion but it was only for people with assigned seats. As a GA member I almost felt like a second-class citizen…

I like the idea of picking 8 games to go to as I can't get to campbelltown but can make all LO and SFS games. I think they've gone a long way in tailoring membership packages to the fans, they just need to improve on shipping them!

But why do the 8 games have to be LO+SFS or CSS+SFS? Why not just 8 games? Of if they want to split it, why not any 5 or 6 games at LO/SFS/SCG? Like I said you are committing yourself to go to all 8 games which people with family or work committments (or other social commitments - yes they do exist outside of football!!) and if you miss a game you're losing value.

Cambelltown has a train station on its doorstep an km of FREE parking…easiest ground of the 3 to get too...away within 10 mins easy just jump the tracks....

The problem is Geo, more and more people are clueing onto the hole in the fence idea, and that queue's nearly longer than the one to get over the walkway!

As a country resident who will be lucky to make it to 2-3 games all year and have grandchildren, who have no idea at this stage about footy can someone please advise me of the most suitable package, I want to be a member but also want some value in what I pay…....cheers Leigh
