Wests Tigers NYC team v Bulldogs (Finals WK1)

I have seen Mulcahy play a couple of games for the WT 19's squad, he is a very good attacking player who is quick and elusive. He could have passed a bit more but did score 3-4 tries so at least when he does take the line on is a good chance of scoring. His kicking game isn't bad and while not really paying too much attention to his defence I would have noticed if he wasn't up to scratch. Rudolph and Toia played 19's last night both played OK but were out played by a number of other players, Daniel Rakvin 12 and Leva Li 4 were probably the pick on the night. The game was against the Doggies with WT winning about 9 tries to 3.

Each to their own opinion but in fairness to Toia and Rudolph both played out of recently practiced positions in a team of relatively unfamiliar players and game plans! Toia has been playing 6 and Rudolph 1 and 5 yet last night Rudolph played 6 and Toia 7 (i think). IMO Nofoa Leapai who played hooker last night played well, especially when taking into consideration he's just coming back from a serious ankle injury! He will be one to watch next season when fully fit!

Matt Mulchacy is a better half than Toia. He has been the rugular right side half for BNRU in Bundy this year when not playing NYC and only two weeks ago had an oustnding game against Budy favourites Wenty. Seems to have heaps of time, definitely quick and deceptive. If you hang off him too much, he can slice through easily. Solid kicking game and has been holding his own defesively against grown men in Bundy.

pretty sure Pasi means 'bus'

is he as big as one?

Todd Payten coaches the same way he played throughout his long and distinguished career – straight up and no nonsense.

I remember Toddy engaging in plenty of non-prop type behaviour during his career actually

Shared a taxi with him on the way to a game and yes he's as big as a bus! Haha And those cannon's attached to his shoulders are enormous!! Haha Plus he's a really nice kid!

You were right slick, they did hold off him and he did slice through!

Actually reminded me a bit of a young Hodgo when he did that…

Miller is more talented, but Matt has a far better temperament. His kicking game is quality and his ability to organise is up there. The way he was telling the BNRU Bundy players where to be etc shows me he has the ability to go higher than just NYC…

Great call by those who spoke about mulchany, he showed all the attributes that you mentioned and really win us the game.

Good on Matt for taking in the line but if it wasn't for Saunders creating the spark to give us 3 try attempts in 6 mins, 1 of which was successful through Matt M, we probably wouldn't have got back in the game!
