nice one lads.

Interesting conversation we had on the last pod, should Sione be upgraded when we free up the next top 30 spot?
I didn’t see enough yet myself, certainly not anything more than a short term deal on a modest contract.

We need backrow depth and he’s not that.

Currently, I would have Sione in the Top 20 players in this squad , never mind the Top 30…. It’s unfortunate that he is the one missing out due to the roster squeeze … I hope he is looked after with a deal prior to the season starting …nothing too outrageous of course … perhaps just 1 year at $300K …

He probably is in my top 20 as well, but I don't see how we can upgrade him until we free up at least 2 more roster spots.

You have to upgrade him. Especially with the perception / misunderstanding when we signed May. Not just because of the damage to the family , but also tartak has a fair chunk of clients now which are essential to our rebuild .
Hopefully when the squads head towards pre-season a club who’s short on backs depth comes calling for Naden or even Saukuru.
I feel like centre is the 1 position we are absolutely stacked at .
Some top 30 centres could potentially find themselves in Ron Massey or U21s . Feledy might spend the season down there if the guys are fit . As with Saukuru .
I can see Faataape and Naden being first choice for KOE cup , with AD and Sullivan in the halves .
We might even field a strong KOE team this year . We definitely are 1 centre too heavy IMO.

I don't know how we upgrade him with the hole we have in the second row.

I'd prefer to win.
Agree , but I’d most rather win for a very long time . And breaking promises is an easy way to return the club back to a rugby league Blackrock mercenary group.
I think we’ve finally got something brewing , and simple things like this are an easy way to destroy culture .
And whoever we sign , are they really going to be such a wonderful player that they’re worth that ….

Who do we play in the second row?
