That was a good listen. I disagree with a tonne of stuff though. The SFS is the rorters ground and it has nothing to offer us. We can't turn the club around via stuff like a single jumper or appealing only to a certain demographic. I also don't think we can solely blame the club for the poor retention in relation to the good guys that left. We weren't winning with those guys in our team.

I agree that Madge needs to stay and stuff the under performing players. As you state it's a professional sport.

The key point to me though is we need to get much better at recruitment and retention. Recruitment has been pretty ordinary in that our top dollar players are consistently our lowest performers.

Always enjoy the pod guys, this one is no different. I can't see Maguire going anywhere unless the club makes him though. He's a change manager through and through and tough as they come.

For what it’s worth I am 100% in agreeable regarding your thoughts on player entitlement. Some of these blokes have contributed absolutely nothing and have no right to dictate how the team is coached.
In regards to Marshall- he’s only said one negative thing in that he heard through the media. I agree he doesn’t seem to get it but I don’t reckon he’s thrown the club under the bus. On 360, he was very professional despite that human excrement Crawley trying to dig up dirt. In regards to the leak - whoever it is, if it’s proven - immediate termination.

100% agree. Thought it was a great podcast and reminiscing about the “one more year” text video thing When Farah and Benji resigned back a couple years really puts the situation in perspective.

Even if we could get rid of a Reynolds or Brooks I don’t know if keeping Benji staying on would be a good move going forward considering his defensive liabilities and the inability to drop him without creating a media circus. The casual fan would argue otherwise and blah on about disrespect and the like (see Facebook fan groups) but really we took him from a 10 minute bench utility at Brisbane to a starting gig and if not for us he may not even be playing still today.

Once again great pod, always look forward to listening to a fresh pod and giving myself an excuse to pause on study/work and listen to some diehards perspectives.

Best podcast boys!! 100 percent agree!! i actually think Benji handled himself very poorly, but of course when your on nrl 360 every week the commentators always are going to agree with you. dont start me on Paul Crawley, he infuriates me!!! completely lost with the team this week, as you mentioned Madge promised the young kids a go and picks the exact same team, you cant tell me you could not give Jock Madden a go, we have nothing go lose or give Blore a go and more then 10 minutes then gets dropped. Im lost as you mentioned the CEO says nothing, get the club and be on the front foot but as usual nothing is heard!!! anyway keep up the good work
