Totally unaccountable. Been looking for a gig like that since I left school. Great work if you can get it.They're just in it for the power, blazers and box seats. Will not do the right thing.

i just wasted 15minutes of my life googling for a loop hole in the debenture system ,to throw the dogs a bone .While the debentures allow the holders constitutional rights, their liability is limited to the $100.
They have no skin in the game, so it’s a matter of “all care and no responsibility.”
Very much unlike a private company where a creditor can in certain cases come after your house. So you can easily see how standards can slip and outcomes can take a backward seat.
Sorry mate. The foxes are in the henhouse. Only us geese to sound the alarm.i just wasted 15minutes of my life googling for a loop hole in the debenture system ,to throw the dogs a bone .
At $100 its all 1 way traffic - considering a glutton would easily get a return on their outlay at the 1st prawn n pworn luncheon ,proudly mc'd by dirty denny
well this Goose is pretty much cookedSorry mate. The foxes are in the henhouse. Only us geese to sound the alarm.
I don’t believe HBG have any Interest in the Wests Tigers. It seems to be just another part of their portfolio, a trophy. I actually think there is either deliberate or subconscious process of running Wests Tigers into the ground. They have been absolutely abysmal owners.Mike I can see by your Avatar picture of Noel Kelly you were and probably still are a Wests MAGPIES supporter just as I am (though now a Wests Tigers fan). Are you a strong believer in the Holman Barnes Group and the way they have run the Wests Tigers footy club? Are they the answer to turning the footy club back into a regular NRL finalist and why?
PVL needs to sort it out once and for allPerhaps it’s time the NRL stepped in and appointed a truly independent board whose only Interest is the Wests Tigers.
You only need to look at the last 10 premiership winners.
7 leagues club models
2 private ownership
1 public ownership
How good is your memory mate? Pretty sure the nrl stepped in and appointed an independent board or rather selected the 2 or 3 independents which tipped the balance? Around 2014. With HBG poised to sack and stack some magpies it was only a matter of time until the board lost its independence.I don’t believe HBG have any Interest in the Wests Tigers. The question posed is confusing because Wests Tigers is already privately owned by HBG. Wests Tigers is not owned by the government or the NRL.
So what I can gather is people just want a different owner, which is fine by me. The question I have is what type of owner? A person, a group of people, a Co-Op, a company or private equity?
When we ask loaded questions we need to be clear on what the expected outcome is. Sometimes you need to be careful of what you wish for.
For me I think we had it pretty well right with the Independent board. That’s what we need to get back to. The independent board were making progress until HBG blew it up.

So more recently we tried it again with a similar result.
You saying we should go for a third shot at it?
You obviously didnt read my post?An independent board is the way to go.
It becomes part of the license agreement with the NRL. I believe the NRL are the only ones that can fix this. You obviously didnt read my post?
Theres no doubt that an independent board would be more effective but the question is..
How does it remain independent?
Financial investment into the club plus a substantial pipeline of 3rd party investors for players. The million dollar question is - what are the impediments between our current position and becoming the biggest and best club in the NRL?
