Wests Tigers relocate to Perth?

Fitler just suggested the Storm move to Perth..

Not sure about that.

Moving a club due to a bad couple of years (i.e. if Melbourne's support wanes) is a bit of a knee jerk reaction..

"And, I also had a random thought that the Melbourne Storm has just been bought by a private company and I wonder if they might think about Perth. Especially if Melbourne's support wanes once Bellamy, Smith and co retire, as I reckon it must without the support of such a great coach, great players and such a great culture. The pressure is always on in a mad sporting town and the Storm has had a fair bit of time now to crack it.

If Craig Bellamy does retire (and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens sooner rather than later) he would go immediately to the top of Perth's most-wanted list. Next would be someone that's coached under him; Maguire is the obvious one as he's made of the same DNA.

If the challenge can motivate one of the great coaches to go there, the Western Storm will come to life in a healthy environment.

Western Storm versus Souths. I like the sound of that."

Imagine after all the work the storm have done trying to promote RL in Melbourne they pack up and leave.

Need to start drug testing commentators.

Well Wests did start their life at Pratten Park.
Then they moved 10k west to Lidcombe.
Then they moved 40k south west to Campbelltown.

What is another 4000k???

A lot of expense for the fans at Sydney to visit the home games.

Yep, you'll be fans, not members

Fitler says some pretty stupid stuff…

I've seen him coming/going at the Airport a few times, and also judging on some of his on-air 9 commentary, i think he's pissed half the time,he just babbles away with that stupid look on his face.

So the purpose of having a team in Perth would be to expand the competition beyond its traditional borders… and to do that you take a team out of Melbourne? Bloody hell but Fittler is a dribbler.

My Dad tells me how great a player Fitler was. Hard to believe with the dribble which comes out of his mouth.

And believe it or not, was a very laid back kind of guy, kind of like Darren Lockyer. Then all of a sudden in the media he turned into a massive moron. I was worried Lockyer might go the same way when he got into the media but thankfully not
