You’re being obtuse , knowing full well I was explaining body types and that you can move from 1 position to the other with minimal effect, using more well known examples and 1 close to home . And I didn’t compare him to Usain bolt I said Usain Bolt body type wasn’t high muscle mass , actually not comparing him at all . But way to abnoxious to try and prove a point you’re clearly wrong about .

Mate my position is simple. TT is not a lock or second rower. Your points don’t sway way me at all, body shape, precedents, Olympic skills etc. it’s a skill set thing. Soft hit ups, questionable ability to make the big tackles, questionable ability to cover others in defence. It’s not all about attack and running and passing in those positions. A lock is a third prop, a second rower is the glue of the defence out wide - your example of garner is a perfect one to illustrate this, good hole runner. Hopeless defender...absolutely hopeless

I still stand by this, especially in a McGuire coached team

Each to their own, which is why we discuss

Josh Rizk is also a flyer.

Haha our next problem.

Just happy to have any sort of speed for now, JAC could help out in the 22 season....

We haven’t got him yet, but isn’t Laurie super quick?

Me too, now it’s only really cam Murray, yeo and McInnes, radley (at a pinch) that play there, excluding bench players. At the other end of the scale, Melbourne play NAS at lock.

McGuire is a big lock coach

I actually think this is a brilliant signing.
We needed pace and got a quality speedster at a bargain price. Roberts at his best is a game breaker.
The task now will be getting him back to that level.
This was a low-risk, high-reward signing. If it doesn’t work out no biggie, but if it does then it is a stroke of genius.
Nice work Tigers. Keep em coming.

This. I can’t actually believe some are unhappy with it. Costing nothing, creates competition for spots, gives us depth and some much needed speed And above all else the terms are in the clubs favour. There is nothing to lose here and everything to gain. It’s a good astute signing.

I’m not trying to convince you . I made my point . And I actually think he is strong , and runs it hard . In fact most of us , were commenting on how hard he returns the ball. He made a few half breaks with his fend a 1 clean break straight from memory . He runs good lines , and looks to make good contact with his shoulder on defence , although he fails to maintain that contact . But that’s ? strength more than anything else . All I know is , he’s not a half , he’s wasted on the wing , and whether he plays on the inside or outside shoulder of his half is kind of irrelevant in today’s game .

Yeah James did his achilles, I dunno what its like for football players but I know from basketball most cases you never have the movement you used to have. Hope for his sake he can get speed again, anything's possible

I don't know where this comes from..yes he had an Achillies injury in 2018..it was never a full rupture and never required surgery..it was managed ..missed a few games..Played through at the time Origin with it..

I like good news

If he does play hopefully he doesn’t become a victim of not getting enough early ball. Like Joey he’s at his best when he’s given room to run.

Interesting reading for all me thinks

You just forget how wayward he has been

Is it though ? A lot of that reads like many , many nights out with the boys , and someone always does that stuff . To me he just needs to stay away from substances . There’s always a last time for everything . Many dudes I knew growing up , were just as loose as him , if not more so, and some are in positions and are people you would never think that of . My point is , he can do it , many Have before him

. Unreserved apologies for yesterdays rant, if Madge reckons we need him now, we need him now. Good luck Jim I hope you stay injury and scandal free, and remind clowns like myself how good you are.

So if BJ & the Jet fire, Mbye to fullback?

Didn't we just sign Penrith's fourth string fullback, Mr D Laurie. If those players mentioned fire, Mbye will be Canterbury cup, depending on the development of Maddern and AD. Injuries aside, I can't see a place for him in the starting side

2nd fastest man in the universe...

Nofoaluma

Joey and James are two peas in a pod, just hope they don't feed off each other. Need some good energy to help those boys, and a gentle hand to James, no tough love stuff imo. Psychology, meditation etc hah. 😉
