Wests Tigers sign Wagga's Tim Hurst

I don't think think it's that bad down here, we are right in the middle of NRL/AFL territory and alot of the kids that go to school with my kids play both, one on Sat and one on Sunday. League is alive and kicking but we do need more players to come down here as that is one thing the Swans do very well.

Wagga tiger, i suggest you travel just 50km north west to the coolamon shire. No Rugby League here. There simply isn't enough kids to do both sports. You need so many kids on an AFL team that there is no kids left to have a league or soccer team. The NSWCRL has been to my kids school once and brought a Cronulla under 21 player who no one knew. That's sure to excite the kids isn't.The AFL came Last year and the kids got to meet current swans players plus a few cusp players, each told their story about how hard they have had to work and train. NSW cricket came and handed out show bags and we even have a super 8's comp every september. come on Rugby League you need to lift your game or lose the battle to AFL.Wagga is fine you do have a comp but just a little further out not much going on i'm very sad to say.

Your right tigerkaz we need more players to come to the area and i'm sure other rural areas need the same thing. Is it worth an email to the Tigers? or is the CRL the people to talk to?

wagga tiger, i think the crl are the ones to talk to. i spose they only get who is available at the time, don't mind me i just get on my high horse every now and then. My son is a titans fan, my daughter a knights fan and husband a doggies tragic so we'd probably would't get any of our favs anyway.

sorry wagga tiger i think i just accidently gave you a thumbs down, i didn't mean to do that . i'm sorry can i take that back somehow?

I got stuck in wagga once. Was on the train to melbourne and the tracks got flooded so we got put up there for the night. One of the worst experiences of my life. Nice enough people in general, but the kids there are little scumbags. I spose NRL would be a good outlet for them. Especially considering there's shite all else to do in wagga

Thanks wagga tiger i was worried
footy season is a Very interesting time in my house, some people don't talk to others depending who's playing who. both my kids have the Tigers as their second team but silly husband doesn't watch any other team but the dogs(his loss) have been with him for 21 years don't think he'll change now. Been to a gr8 Australia Day celebration in my little town today. can i just say to mistadobalina that wagga and surrounds are a fantastic place to live and bring up kids don't let an overnight stay put you off. come back and enjoy the city of good sports, they don't lie to you on the welcome sign coming into town.
