Wests Tigers Statement..Leadership Group..

I've always been a believer that the best player should be captain in any sport.
I rate Tedesco as #1 @ WT's… Give him the honour & incentive to be a 1 club man, and be the poster boy for the club.

I see Teddy as our future captain CC. But not just yet. The C will go to a more experienced player.

Lol… Talking about leadership, while back flipping on leadership? :roll

#pathetic #basketcase

How does your "I run WT not the stupid coach" stand up now?
As I stated earlier, journos can't come out with comprehensive and detailed articles then they not appear, they would rightly lose their jobs and integrity. Some bods here should not be so cynical.

I may take out membership for the first time if not too pricey for someone who can't attend games.

My profile pic along with the new position of the clubs basically identifies the fact Farah is running the show at WT. Hopefully by the time they do get rid of him, he has the soap to wash off the blood.

The biggest mistake in the clubs history may now have been making Farah Captain in 2009?

Spose we will have to wait 5-10 years to find out

We have changed directions more times than a tornado in the last 3 months

Hopefully our team can be as destructive as one in 2016

And Watto's right about Farah , he is our Mick Taylor ,except Farah is up to Wolf Creek 6

Well he has being capt for 6 years now, waiting another four years as Robbie as capt to determine if a mistake was made seems a bit indecisive. That would be on par with Lindy Chamberlain. He will be old in the tooth by then.

Surely not dual captaincy. How could that be positive news? If anything it makes Wests Tigers look like more of an amateur joke.

How so? Last year's premiers had dual captaincy. I'm not usually in favour of it to be honest, but I think it could be a reasonable decision sharing it as being the captain of the Tigers in 2016 will be a big job on and off the field. Lawrence and Tedesco as co caption thanks.

Wooohooo thank god we can now concentrate on the footy come March, compromise was the only solution. It's all up to JT now to select the best 13 week in week out and get the best out of the Tigers. **As for the 360 turn around, some person(s) would have been put in their place, literally, morally and legally.\
\
You can do things the right way, or you can do them the wrong way, the Farah saga was shocking, unethical and a very obvious case of work place bullying.\
\
Robbie, love him or hate him, he's the man.. He obviously doesn't take a back foot to anyone or cave in, an obvious choice for a leader**.

Well said and very powerful words indeed. The stupidity in what was attempted only reaffirms how unsuitable JT is as a coach.

Re the captaincy; Given the WTs lack of decisiveness regarding leadership, a co captaincy is likely. Even more likely, well start the season with Woods as captain, then no,no,no swap and give it to Lawrence, then poor Robbie, we never should have taken it from him and he'll have it back…......all part of the WT circus.

Watto, I agree.

Our consultant (coach), Shane McCurry drove the process. Pascoe who engaged him has emphasised the values of trust, respect, being open and honest. Mmmmmm.

"Robbie has earned that position," Pascoe told Fairfax Media from Fiji. "It was a process that was driven by the engagement of Shane McCurry and exploring new avenues of leadership. It's a great mix of youth and experience. [The decision] was a consultative process between coaches, players and certainly Shane. It's a process that's all about creating trust and respect. Being open and honest are the values we want to abide by. Both Robbie and Jason have been nothing other than respectful. I can't complement both of them enough. Their professionalism has [allowed] them to get to this stage."

I thought it strange having Ballin on the list when he has never played one game for the WT nor trained with them. I think his inclusion is an insult to the others.

Give Tedesco captaincy, could be a little incentive that will make him want to extend his stay here.

I think he is probably the best option as well. Our best player and he seems like a good guy with a level head.

BBF,I think it is more about experience and knowledge of the NRL that Balllin is in the group, our younger players need guidance,I honestly think he will be good for the group and team as a whole…

Think it's a good idea for the leadership group….and would think like a lot of others that we will implement the dual Capt role. My choice would be Tedesco and Woods where that could possibly fill the void for the next 5 yrs. Problem with Lawrence is whether he will still be here come next year.

Just win some games to stop all this mindless chatter

All the dosh tied up in one player would have helped us achieve this! To be really competitive we will just have to wait till 2018! Right now with our lack of funds it just isn't a level playing field but, I agree, it is best to be positive, and hope that Robbie earns the money he is on. If what I am hearing, that he is training very hard and his attitude has indeed changed for the better, then who knows as painful as this circus has been, perhaps in the long run WT will benefit for the next two seasons!

Ballin will be a punching bag in 2016 TT, mark my words.

And before someone counters with "so will Farah", yes he will, rightly or wrongly. And JT will be as well. People have reasons not to be a fan of these two. There's no justification to hate on Ballin for anything that's happened.
