Wests Tigers take over Wyong
The Dam Hotel in Wyong became Wests Tigers territory tonight as hundreds of fans took the opportunity to meet the NRL squad.
The team made a special appearance at the family friendly hotel in Hamlyn Terrace to meet supporters, sign autographs and help promote the Wests Tigers ‘It’s My Life’ Membership campaign for season 2013.
The hotel visit followed an intensive three hour training session in the morning at the All Sorts Fitness Centre in Wyong as part of a four day camp for the team.
“It was fantastic to meet so many Wests Tigers supporters here on the Central Coast. Each time we play up here, we always get a huge following and tonight was no exception,’’ prop Keith Galloway said.
“We are always happy to meet our fans. I noticed plenty of them were also signing up as Members for next season which was good to see.”
Troy Chapman, licensee of The Dam Hotel, said the appearance by the team proved to be a tremendous success.
"We couldn't believe how many people, and in particular, families who turned up tonight to meet the team. There were at least 300 fans and the players were fantastic and were more than happy to spend time with the locals here,'' Chapman said.
"Wests Tigers are always welcome at The Dam Hotel."
2012 Members have until 5pm Thursday 15 November to renew their membership to ensure they retain their seats for next season.
Also, if you join/renew before this deadline, you will also receive your 2013 Membership card and kit before Christmas.
