Wests Tigers playmaker Josh Reynolds has been named at hooker for Sunday's must-win game against the Cronulla Sharks for what will be the 30-year-old's 150th NRL appearance.

Reynolds will bring up the milestone in his 12th game for Wests Tigers, having previously played 138 games for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (2011-17).

After securing a big win over St. George-Illawarra in Round 24 to set up the Sunday afternoon blockbuster against Cronulla, Head Coach Michael Maguire has named an unchanged side but has listed Moses Mbye and Robbie Farah amongst the reserves as they look to make their return from injury.

Farah (fractured tibia) and Mbye (hip flexor) both haven't played since picking up injuries against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 21 and will continued to be monitored throughout the week in the lead up to Sunday's game.

Wests Tigers will provide an updated 19-man team for Sunday's game at 2:00pm AEST on Saturday before confirming a final team list at 1:00pm on Sunday.

With Mbye named amongst the reserves, Benji Marshall will again captain the side after a Man of the Match performance against the Dragons.

Sunday's clash between the ninth-placed Wests Tigers and the eighth-placed Sharks is remarkably the first meeting between the two sides this year, with the result to determine the make-up of the 2019 Telstra Premiership finals series.

Cronulla head in to the game off the back of a Golden Point defeat to the Canberra Raiders last weekend while Wests Tigers will be full of confidence after scoring big wins over the Knights in Round 23 and the Dragons in Round 24.

Its obvious he won't be 100%. And given the way we've been playing, why not give him the extra week and reassess him next week. If he cops a knock , that will be it, and he won't play in the finals, assuming we win.

ngl i hope for our finals sake that robbie doesn't play

I highly doubt Farah will play....incentive to win and give Farah a shot at playing in the semi final series

I'd like Mbye to be in the team for the expense of Jennings but can't see Momirovski being moved to wing. He's been fantastic in the centres especially in defence.

@TigersBusDriver unless we chuck Thompson on the wing for Jennings, then play Mbye at fullback

Yes this would be much better. Thommo is a good winger, Jennings is a liability and Mbye has big game experience.

@happy_tiger owes Madge another apology..

Won't name Farah..pffft..

They have a BIG pack, especially their bench. Our forwards need to hold their own if we are any chance in this game.

It needs to happen, IMO, but his match fitness just wouldn’t be there yet

If mbye is 110% fit then I’d be dropping Jennings and putting momo on the wing. Nothing stopping players swapping around during the game with momo receiving inside or even defending inside at times. As for farah i think he should sit this week out and come back in the mix for finals.

If Mbye replaces Jennings, does that mean Marsters goes back to right centre? I honestly think our defence has been a lot better with Marsters and Nofoaluma not paired up. When Momo took that intercept last week, we had them covered no matter what option they took.

i dont think masters would have the gam managemnt or balls to do that intercept either...nor the speed

They're no bigger than St George and the Raiders outmuscled them. I like our chances in this one but countering Fifita off the bench will be key. Johnson won't be 100% and Gallen looks to be worn out.

There's no way in the world we should risk playing Farah in such a huge game. Even Mbye is a gamble after what happened a few weeks ago.
