I'm most looking forward to seeing the players hopefully build on last weeks good performance and backing it up again tomorrow. If they turn up with the right attitude and not get too complacent we will get a result.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I think last weekend we were flattered by an extremely poor Dragons performance. I'm not criticising the effort as I thought we tried hard, but our execution imo was pretty average.


It wasnt pretty but what Im encouraged by is that we did all the hard things right. Completion rates high, defence good, low missed tackles, field position good. In many ways last week was the exact embodiment of everything that Madge goes on with at the pressers. Completions, simple jobs, process....patience and it paid off.

I think if we can take that platform into our games, we will be competitive and can grow from that base.

Agree. The one try conceded will win you most games. Forget buzz words like execution and polish. Work hard and win.

Couldn’t agree more. Happy for the win, but geez it was hard viewing. With all that ball in the Dragons twenty in the second half I was hoping for a couple more tries at least. Our lack of creativity made the Dragons goal line defence look like Melbourne’s at times.

The top teams are just way too good. Players will take unders to play with the top teams so just got to develop the juniors, hope to keep em and build from the bottom up. Alot of teams like us just need to play the long game n look to the future. Do the best we can this year n next n become a dominant side in the long run

If I was Madge and subject to how the game is going, I would be telling Liddle his role will be very different off the bench.

He should be instructed to run at least every second set.
