Seyfarth over Mikaele is madness. Sure he's going well in NSW cup but he was diabolical in firsts last year and is not an impact guy.

Mikaele isn't dominating or anything, but in the past few weeks he's been good at bending the line and helping generate momentum with his carries. He's been growing into that 25-30 minute bench prop role. If Seyfarth is keeping it warm for Blore's return (with Blore to 11 and Ofahengaue to 16), then fair enough. But Madge is kidding himself if he thinks Seyfarth is a genuine bench option going forward.

Chee Kam over Leilua is stupid too. How many times does MCK in the centres need to be tried and failed? Joey at least offers some upside, MCK is a bench second rower and not a centre.

Pretty silly to judge Seyfarth off last years performances he was thrown in too early and was found out. He's playing better than ever now and deserves the call up. Mikaele is lazy and makes errors, runs the footy well but don't we want consistency?

I don't think it's that silly. Seyfarth hasn't really changed his style as a player - just improved at what he does. He's an high work rate and not an impact guy. If Twal got injured and Seyfarth was called up to replace him, I'd totally get it. Mikaele for Seyfarth aren't like for like swaps though, I question how effective Seyfarth will be coming on for 25 or so minutes when it's not his game.

Who says it will only be for 25 mins? I could see Musgrove and Seyfarth replacing Tamou and Stefano to play a good 35 minutes each. Musgrove is the impact man off the bench and they can start Ofa at second row, give him a break then bring him back on as a middle forward to provide impact too.

Just because Seyfarth is replacing Mikaele doesn't mean he'll play the exact same role necessarily.

CINI IS A BAD DEFENDER! He doesn’t slide well , rarely uses his shoulder , and makes poor reads in the defensive line . He is good at the back , and can work on his form , and better understand , what’s actually required in the defensive line .

Madge wants to stop the leaky defence . I assume he thinks there’s enough strike in the 1st team ,, to not have to carry a really bad defender .

If I hazard a guess , I would say next cab off the rank would be Fitzgibbon , but he has hands like feet , and needs to work on this .
Both kids could be anything . We need to persist with thier development .
The Paps reference needs to be put into perspective , as Billy slater came out recently and said a couple years ago , Paps was the third or 4th choice , and told he might need to find another club. He came to Billy for tips on his game and where to improve , and Billy was brutally honest with him , and Paps went away and worked hard on this .
It’s not like Paps was a given for firsts . So Cini spending the season perfecting his craft in 2nd grade is a good thing . Much like it was for Paps and many others .

Has he delivered on potential? No

But why drop him when if anything form is improving in recent weeks, that's what I find baffling. Good luck to young Seyfarth though.

There’s a lot of reputations in that middle mate . Twal had origin hype , a couple years ago, Tamou is the captain , Uto is the prodigy , Joffa the origin player , Mika has been going well , and Packer has a rep as well . And Musgrove is a Madge favourite I think.

Watched Seyfarth lately the guy has a huge motor could be the reason

Blokes been a machine. Strong carries strong defence hasn't done much wrong

Hopefully he can finally carry that in first grade and nail a spot.

The only problem I have with any of the changes is Kepoa is out for the season. It would be wise to pick an adequate back up as this isn’t a week to week thing. I know his been rotating his backline to try and get the best response out of them but for mine Chee Kam isn’t the person you want for the remainder of the season there. However as mentioned Cheek has been playing really well in cup so maybe this is a chance to get him involved for the year in a position his previously pretty comfortable in. Joey may be relegated to 1st choice back up.
Honesty defensively both are just as bad in fact add Roberts all 3 are just as bad. So I guess the question is which two will remain composed and carry out the gameplan the best and provide the best attack when needed.
