Looking at that bench I would guess Mbye will give Liddle a rest and Talau covers injuries in the back line/back row..

Last week Mikaele played 35mins Utoikamanu 33 mins Tommy 21 mins and Packer a blistering 11 mins..

Packer
What a legend
How many meters ?

48
All time high

Not bad in 11 minutes

Bloke ran 48m in 4 runs in 11 minutes in a well beaten team but people are still bagging him.

I saw 3 runs from packer with a total of about 5 meters
I must have missed the 4th run
I seriously did not think he had any kind of impact in the game
There was certainly nothing to get excited about from him
I want to see him run like he did at Matterson last year
And what's with the 11 minutes
Surely he is capable of pumping out more minutes then that
Where is his aggression when he runs
If all he can muster is 11 minutes a game then we need someone else to take his place in the team
Someone who is hungry and someone who has a future in our team
Packer has neither
We need our bench players to all pull their weight if we are to make the 8

So that means he must have run 38 metres on the fourth run.

Didn't see him ask to come off after 11 minutes. I think you will
find that Madge only wanted to give him 11 minutes. During the
time he was on, I thought he went ok.

I don't really mind keeping Garner and Joey in the team for now because we won't win anyway. Better to save Simpkins for a game he can do something in and gain confidence from rather than losing by 30 on debut.

Like the did to Tyson gamble

Get past it mate! Average footballer at best despite your 1000 posts to the contrary. Geez!

Because he was very hard done by Steve, he was thrown into that Canberra game, with a team that was whipped good and he never got picked again. He was not the worst player in the team, how come the others were never picked again?

Hate to see players hard done by - got nothing to do with how good he was - never got a chance to show if he was good or not.

Keep having patience. Garner will come good. Madge is trying to light a fire in him.

Trouble is - he is wringing wet.

Let's bloody hope so..
Lets pack out Cambo

Ofahengaue ready to ramp up the intensity:
"Hopefully we have lots of Members and fans turn up because I know this team is ready to bring it on Sunday because we owe it to the fans from last week."

If it’s raining there is no way it will be packed out.

One thing is for sure. Even if it does rain there will much more Wests Tiger supports than Roosters supporters at the ground.

Will the players turn up?

Cruel but fact: The last time Wests Tigers beat Sydney Roosters at Campbelltown, Daniel Fitzhenry and Lincoln Withers were the halves pairing. The Roosters had Brad Fittler and Brett Finch in the halves

18 years later and still just as lopsided.

If the players don't turn up then don't expect many supporters to turn up for remaining games.

The Roosters have won 14 of their past 15 games against Wests Tigers. Isn't about time to change?

It was about time a long while ago. Our team looks good but their backline is awesome.

For me, I'm not sure AJ Kepaoa is the answer for the left wing position. Not a great finisher (dropped enough ball to be noticeable last year and first round this year), and lacks strike power or maybe confidence. I'm actually a bit shocked that not more people are calling for him to be dropped.

I'd prefer Talau or even Edene Gebbie on the wing? Our next Koroibete perhaps...

hate to be the prophet of doom here, but how does the coach respond if the team concedes more than 26 points this week.
I don't neccessarily listen to post game interviews, but i'd be interested in his response.
lets hope for a better defensive effort.

I personally think we will as Roosters generally score high regardless who they play.
I think the main focus for the game is ball control ... That's it
We control the ball and don't give easy possession away we have a chance. That's what cost us last week with ball control and discipline

I totally agree Talau or Gebbie would offer more than Kepaoa & I think even Fitzgibbon or Cini could even offer more.

If we concede 26 this weekend we’re in all sorts. It’s going to be played in a bog.

I think Tommy could be a very good ball playing lock, similar to Cameron Murray but slightly bigger and faster. Plus he was a 5/8 coming through so has good ball playing skills.

Agree, posted that 9 months ago, not many agreed back then. He is a much better option than Twal imo.

Twal played a very tradesman-like game, the no frills kind Bellamy would ask for, we could use a few of his boofhead mates to follow his lead.

Almost every time he ran the ball he hit the line softly, they held him on his feet and walked him slowly while their line was getting set. Looks good on paper with his post tackle metres and he was safe, but compare his play to that of Tamou and Joffa who are fellow props? I like him in the team for what he brings but if we’re looking for areas to improve we can’t just look at players who drop the ball.

While Tamou, Joffa and Twal were doing their thing we were well in the game, then the brain faders got involved. Imagine Bellyache up in the box if his players did some of that stuff. He’d end up in intensive care.

Bellamy would have hooked Garner the minute he done that stupid tackle.

Yep, my guess is he wouldn’t have waited for the O’Brien glass repairers.
Unfortunately we’re a long way off developing that degree of expectation into our culture if we ever will get there?

It’s scary because I’ve watched the Warriors play two games with great discipline and the Knights. Completing high and playing percentage football. Those are two teams we will need to outperform to make the eight. Discipline and smart football are a must these days.

Talau is not a winger and Gebbe is not even in our 30 at this stage.

AJ will do me at this atage.

A lot of newspaper articles are already promoting the round 3 clash between roosters and rabbits. Let’s hope the roosters minds are on next week as well.
