He’s a starting player

I’d have no issue with him starting at 6.

Reynolds has been in headless chook mode of late

Last game he was pretty terrible.

9 missed tackles ...
And the longer Benji is left out the higher the odds he could go round again

Yep, and really doesn't add anything in attack. Imo we're a stronger team with Benji in the 6, although I feel i'm in the minority.

Or a silent majority. Im with you Avo, but Grub has some passionate fans here

Count me in the silent majority . People are going to focus on games where the team lost as a reflection of Benjis performance. Another classic is to single out Benji in a game where the forwards are backpeddling and Benji tries some hail marys...they are low percentage plays but if the others pulled their weight he wouldn't have to try this stuff. I feel he is still a great player, has a great close to the line kicking game, can be elusive and sets tries up nicely. I'm not going off stats of games won with or without him I'm just saying what I see in the matches.

Look how ruthless parra our keeping them young parra forward to cover injuries we let Thompson go now look

So what Corey wants , you know get paid for 3 more years , move home , maintain another 250k pay packet at 30 doesn’t matter? Only our depth for a few weeks ?

That’s my point that’s what parra have done

It wasnt Benjis attack that he was dropped for it was his horrible defence

This is the point I made earlier,as great as Benji has been for us and is a club legend,Madge builds his gameplans on defence and if we are all honest Benji has some bad defensive stats and this is why Madge has opted for change...
Its not a matter of punishment that Benji was put on the bench it was more of a call to sharpen his defensive issues and work his way back into the team..
I hope he gets a run tonight to see how well he goes both in attack and defence..

4th debut we have had this year correct?

3rd I think Boss.
McIntyre and Seyfarth the others, I think Clark and Talau debuted last year?

lol forgot about him, wow.

Very nervous, every game is tough. On paper rabbitohs seem faster in most positions. Fingers crossed.

Talau is sadly constantly getting injured. A real problem for him. And us.

A lot of hamstrings being done around the comp this year, I wonder if lockdown has had that impact?

It's not the size of the dog in the fight..it's the size of the fight in the dog..

McIntyre failed his concussion test, confirmed by his dad

That sucks he’s been good for us. Also means packer is back in, hopefully he can actually do something this week

Personally i don't want Packer back for a crunch game.
Rather have both veterans playing (Benji/Lawrence) instead it will be interesting to see how Madge uses the bench. Was not aware Tommy was out again till this morning but at least we have given another development player an opportunity.
Game day can't wait, effectively its playing for 8th spot and this game may go a long way determining where we finish this season.

One forum member made this point weeks ago about Benji that i totally agree with and now its going to be tested.
They stated that Benji ''s defense gets tested when he plays 80 minutes and players continually are running at him all game.
Shorter game time off the bench may keep him fresh enough, expecting Madge will inject him into the game either 15 minutes before half time or the last 30/25 minutes of the game, depending on how we are performing.
I do think our forwards are better than there's it's weather the backs defend in unison with so many changes.

Whats with the packer talk? He wont play will he? Eep

He is still named on the extended Bench but if selections remain the same as prior weeks both him and Mcqueen won't be named.
Lots of forum members think we need 2 front rowers on the bench for go forward like in most weeks, it's a fair point but i don't think he deserves a spot ahead of the veterans this week.

If Hoffman performs well for however long Tommy is out for, wouldn’t be opposed to moving Tommy to right centre until Joey is back. Tommy could well be out for another 3 games though hamstrings are tricky

Normally I would agree that our pack is superior to theirs, but we’ve been hit hard with injuries to our best forwards as well. We’ve lost a lot of grunt across the whole team. We’re not the Roosters, we don’t have the luxury of replacing our injured players with proven first graders or young guys who easily slot into a well-oiled machine. I think we will struggle to beat Souths - a team we would probably beat quite easily if we were anywhere near full strength.

It's a crunch game for us (fingers crossed). Really hoping to see Latrell Mitchell crying again after the game has finished !!
