I'm not being funny but isn't it a bit odd to schedule a kicking session without your starting hooker, half back or most likely halves deputy? But yeah, it's good to see that the fifth choice five-eighth got a few practice kicks in - after that session no doubt when the inevitable injury crisis strikes people will be wondering whether the bald fella in the 6 jersey is Fulton or Lockyer.

Guessing at the time they didn't realize what would happen over the weekend 2041

See a few people dubious over Fulton's kicking ability If I remember we have scored tries from Fulton bombs in the past

However you couldn't go past Anasta and his big swirling bombs We lost a game due to one of them when Beau was fullback in 2010 ?? .

I'm not really bothered, it just seemed faintly ridiculous. I remember the game you mean, though the try was more a product of old school Ryan than Anasta's kicking game - if memory serves Ryan simply dropped an uncontested ball cold under his own sticks.

I thought he let it bounce. And was then taken out of play when he didn't have the ball… My memory is patchy at best though.

Yoss, no patchy memroy.
I re-call it the same way you do.
was very annoyed when try awarded.
should have been a penalty to wests-tigers.

Not enough people at training so they had a game of forcemans back.

Hello Gary,

Yes we will need to be well practiced this season for kick re-starts. Maybe we could resurrect the kicking duel.

Hello Ed.

Potter would have participated in a few kicking duels in his playing days. He played against known "duelists" such as Melrose, Shearer and the like. Hope we see it.

I am hearing forcemans back was played as a bit of intra squad rivalry. It had been tried by Sheens in previous seasons but it just caused confusion. This season, when Potter said, "it is backs vs forwards" everyone knew where to go and there was no confusion.
