Of all people Gallen calls out the demo job by the referee on the first half.

Gallen actually gave a fair assessment of the defensive issues on our left edge. Mbye was rushing up to take Mitchell coming into the backline but Hoffman was a little behind the pace in jamming the centre.

Ironic that jamming the centre is a play for which Nofo is often criticised but it's the only thing you can do if the players inside break the line. Once Mbye went in Souths could have just rolled a ball behind and they'd have scored from the kick.

Souths supposedly played the perfect first half didn’t give away any penalties until their offside at the 40 min mark.... we didn’t get a single 6 again first half... there was no opportunity to get momentum... the refs for some reason hate the West’s Tigers

Cmon mate. Our last four weeks we have been fine without Benji and we haven’t really missed him. It’s easy to look in hindsight and say it was a poor choice but How is madge supposed to know we would play like that?

Mate Reynolds was horrible last week. It was as clear as day and I’ve been saying it all week. We’ve only scored points against Dogs and Cowboys who were horrible. We are only an attacking threat against good teams when Marshall is there. Any half decent team can shut reynolds down because he’s hopeless. He offers nothing in any way.

Horrible is a big overstatement. He’s a big reason we’ve improved the last four weeks. He didn’t play well tonight but we barely had attacking field position all night. He’ll probably be suspended anyway so Benji will back either way

9 missed tackles, 0 LB, 0 LBA, 0T and 0TA. The reason we’ve improved over the last 4 weeks is because the entire team has improved. He’s added zilch.

9 missed tackles means nothing, he constantly misses tackles but he’s still shutting down plays like he did a lot last week. Again I don’t think he’s been amazing and happy for Benji to come back in for him for the coming weeks (suspended or not) but there’s no way you can blame Madge for picking him when we have been playing well and he’s been solid.

9 missed tackles does mean something when you’re adding nothing in attack to offset it.

And I am blaming Madge. As a fan it’s my right to.

Also his bench selection was stupid.

I’m blaming the players. Madge picked a team that has been doing well and had little options with the injuries we have. Only thing I didn’t really like was bringing grant off.

Who else is there on the bench? You’d also be mad if he picked Seyfarth or packer after their performances. Blore is the only one but from what I’ve heard they’re still working on his fitness

Grant has been tremendous this year and does almost everything right - but Madge needs to take away his kicking license. Every time he’s kicked it’s been pretty average and he did a few bad ones tonight

18-10 is pretty good considering our injuries and everything going against us. What really hurts is that we would most likely have won that game with all things being equal, possibly last week as well.

All I know is I’m getting really sick of having to talk about the referees every week. Their increasing influence on whether we can even compete in a game or not is bordering on criminal. I honestly don’t know what the club has done to tick them all off so much. Something needs to be done about it, someone needs to call this out publicly, something needs to change, otherwise what’s the point of us even being in the comp anymore.
