It's been 17 games in a row we've conceded 20 points or more.


When this "run" started, it was 26points and has since been adjusted to meet the narrative.

The conceding 26 points a game is correct..since Round 11 2020 till Round 3 2021 Wests Tigers did in fact let in 26 points or more per game which is 10 games + 2 which is 12 games in a row an NRL record... it just so happens in 2020 we won 2 of those games against the Dogs and Manly..

We really need Blore back asap, or give Simpkins a go off the bench because I just don't think Luciano can play 80 defensively and having 3 props seemed like over kill. when Twal and Liddle went off our middle defence collapsed.
Simpkin needs to be the back up hooker, Mbye jsut doesn't work there.
There's a fair bit of ironing out to do but just happy that goal kicking earnt us 2 points instead of costing us 2.

This team is seriously so bad for my health... but I could never imagine not supporting them.
The last 18 minutes of the game was the worst feeling ever. Was shaking like a leaf at one point and anticipating a visit from the police - on suspicion of a domestic dispute.

It was an ugly win but proud of the effort. Thought we were the better team and in control.
Other than our left centre and winger pairing just not looking very strong, I noticed defensive issues with Mikaele and Luciano.
Found Liddle also struggled a little with fatigue but honestly preferred that than Mbye at hooker. Feel he needs to run more.
There were probably a million other little things but am honestly just relieved we're on the board.

Liddle does a mountain of defensive work no wonder he fatigues

I though Liddle was great, controlled, and stuck to the game plan, Garner also had a real dig, 40 odd tackles and the majority really great contact, Love Lauries all round play, the kid has got guts also.

I don't know that there is room for Mbye on the bench.
More likely if they can't solve the wing/left side defence issue, then Mbye goes back to centre and Talau pushes out to the wing. It's not ideal but that appears to be the best defensive setup available. Twal's link play is improving, and will get better as the halves improve their combinations. For me Twal is an 80 minute player, Mybe is a good tackler but his defence at hooker is not great, so at 13 his deficiencies would be exaggerated.

I know it takes away from his attack, however I was impressed to see he's made three tackles less than Twal (and is 13th for tackles made). I think it's immense from him and feel he's only going to improve the further we go along.
The only reason I wish to see him run more is that I find it's one of his strengths. I find his self-composure is understated.

I reckon his service was bad from the get go yesterday. I don't think he's playing well. I saw more from him in previous years than I am this year.

When I was at Origin at Suncorp I was wearing a Tigers jersey and some old Scottish fella came up and was like "Liddle's gonna be your best player next year just watch". Turned out his niece is dating Liddle. Anyway he might be right. Not that he's been our best yet but he's probably been top 5 and he's no doubt going to improve from here if he can keep getting game time. Only issue is the service. It seems like they overcompensated a little after getting pulled up on throwing some flat/forward passes and getting pinged and he was tossing them behind people. If he can get the ball out in front but not forward consistently he has best hooker in the game potential honestly.

Glad to get the win, even if it took playing a team missing 7 or so starters with late scratching and them dropping the ball every second set.
We won’t get too many more wins if the team doesn’t perform better than that in the coming games, but hopefully it’s one of those wins that gets their confidence up and it’s something they can build from.

It was supposed to be Pearce's big day so wouldn't they have been pumped up for a big game? Also his parents and family were in the crowd sitting with Abdo.
