I think with all the changes to our squad this year we really cannot afford to lose 3,4,5 games to start the year as the confidence will drop and all that work over the off season to get the "Buy in" will fall away..

I believe that's what the older heads will help, to stop that.

I think if we were to get a win or 2 that will just do wonders to the young group and morale.
I am not writing them off because of last week as it was mainly just some ill discipline that cost us against a top team on the road..
I know there is no such thing as a moral victory but if we can beat the roosters of make is a competitive game that will help.

I seriously think we were never looking at a top 4 spot (not out of the question though), so really, IMO, we just need to be competitive in these early games which is a pretty tough draw.
But we need to beat the teams we are expecting to beat (that's our hard bit) and get a few wins from the top teams and hopefully we slip into 7th or 8th?

Lucy gets his first try
Joffa and Tamou will be the VB hardest working men
Laurie shows his magic again
Douhie shows leadership and steers the boat for us to win

Luke Brooks will go to water and start getting bossed around again but this time, rather than ol' Benji, it will be AD and Laurie, who will form such a lethal combination with Luc the poor Roosters won't know what hit them. In fact, the beating will be so severe, several forum members will start feeling sorry for them.
( okay, maybe I exaggerated, no-one will be feeling sorry for them )

Should just be looking for a good 80 minute effort. We are not realistically competiting for a premiership this year

They have a better roster so everything been equal we get beat.
