but agree it was a good tough win. well deserved.
i said this a few months ago… with taylor, bird, myles etc. they'll have a good mix of goood experienced players alone with kelly, sezer, zilman, gordon etc. a good mix of young skilful fast players. they'll be in the 1-6 next year.
wonder how long cartwright will stay though. i think he's underperformed considering he had bird, prince, campbell etc. for a few years but only got them one time in the finals

He just never gives the underdog any credit. To him there are only 3 or 4 sides in this comp. When one of the other sides plays well he condescendingly acknowledges their effort but it is always accomapnied with a backhanded compliment.
Right throughout the game he was waxing lyrical about the game next week between the Bunnies and the Chooks and about SBW, meanwhile failing to notice that the Titans were putting in one hell of an effort and seemed surprised when they held on.
Its not often I cheer for other sides but I found myself doing just that today.

tbh i always cheer for the underdogs.. it's just an instinct idk why- it just happens
as for gould- he's in the media. the role of the media has changed so much that they only report what people want to hear.
he didn't take away any credit away from the titans- apart from the first half when chooks were handling the ball like a wet soap. however, that was a fact.
i have no issues with his commentary. but i do have issues with wally and locky commenting and telling how good QLD is etc. so i guess some of your frustration may be stemming for his blues pride as well and how he keeps going on about that.

Gus's ties to the Chooks run deep I guess…but yeh he was giving the Titans next to no chance
