What can the players do?

I'll tell you what they can bloody do, they can play the same way they did yesterday against Cowboys and take every one of the remaining matches to the wire. If you do this often enough, you will get your 50/50 decisions and your wins.

If you only compete on occasion, then of course you are at risk of losing that single occasion and being stuck winless.

I am proud of the effort yesterday. I am proud of the way the team lifted when the Cowboys got in front early, when they drew level, when they got 7 points in front. I am proud of the ball movement and the offloads, of the never-say-die attitude that gave us arguably one of our best 2022 tries when we needed it most.

I am proud they lifted for James Tamou and his special occasion.

I am proud that Laurie lifted his game to 2021 levels and found an extra gear, that he needs to now maintain for the rest of 2022, to be sniffing around in attack and putting his body on the line in kick-returns.

BUT if we only do this once, if we go back into our shells next week against Broncos, then it's all for nothing and the NRL will be proven right. It will prove the Tigers are not worth respecting or fighting for, because we only compete on special occasions.

The NRL will give us no favours, will not help us, will not reverse the decision or give us back our two points.

Titans suck despite their good roster, and our roster sucks, but we do have the ability to dig deep and perform to our best.

We were OK against Parra and Penrith, good against Cowboys, now we have Broncos, Knights, Sharks, Roosters, Dragons, Raiders. We can definitely compete with or scare all of these teams. We just have to take our frustrations and our anger and channel it into smart competitive football.

Don't ever forget the last seconds of the match! Don't forget that the refs want to take it away from you, they want an excuse to gift it to the opposition. Do not give them that gift! Fight and scrap and win you bastards.

My issue is, whose the person in charge to remind them of those final seconds? Kimmorley aka go out there and have fun?

Shame it was Tamou's 300th game. I would have liked to see them walk off the field & down the tunnel when the penalty was awarded.

Go and play like they did yesterday and beat the shit out of who ever we play , upset teams on the last 6 games of the year get off the spoon and be proud to wear that jumper show the nrl who we really are
