What do we do with J-Rey??

At this point he has to play in the 14\. Marshall has been one of our best 2 weeks in a row and Brooks has built on his Round 1 performance with a great second showing. **Ivan will favour team culture at this point and make him earn his spot.**

Very good point. No player should be assured of a spot, whether your name is Josh Drinkwater or Josh Reynolds. It keeps them hungry. I would have no complaints if Reynolds comes back through ISP. And tbh, I don’t think he’d have many complaints either.

I can see him coming off the bench. But plenty can happen between now and when he comes back.. Injury, suspension etc

Reggie's for Reynolds and Liddle, no one deserves to lose their spot just because these two are fit, I wouldn't change a thing.
They'd have to bide their time if I was picking the team.

I thought godinets service was very poor tbh

Yeah - I didn’t want to post a negative tonight but I thought he looked lost at times. His passing off the back of the scrum was nerve racking.

Cut him some slack he has had two different fullbacks in two games and three different halves and had what maybe 2.5 games all up including trials

Bigger issue attack wise is we are playing football a long way from the advantage line , makes it easy meat to defend against

Much like the Saints in the 2015/2016 seasons

Lets see where we are in 3 weeks and lets see who is fit. Thats the point of great depth. Also remember we have scored 2 tries in 160 minutes so its not like our attack is humming

Against the best defenders in the league
And don't forget
Roosters scored 1 against us
Storm scored two thanks to a penalty count heavily in their favour and one try when we had 12 on the park

Storm only scored one, with a missed conversion and two penalty goals. Same score line as last week too.

He got smashef in first half and I thought he would be replaced cause it really knocked him around. To his credit he battled on but it did show in his service.

Not just JR, but also Liddell, McQueen, Sue, Grant …. Even Tui, They would all be thinking how do I get back in the team and if I do I better play to the best of my ability to stay there.

So far IC depth strategy is looking good.

Our attack needs work but, we have played 2 of last years top 4.

**But come on guys, own up.
Aren't you all still shedding a quiet tear over Mitchell Moses?**

C'mon Hap, just because he's passing to different players does that mean he can't throw it into their hands?
I thought he showed a lot of guts out there but his passes from the back of the scrum made me wince.
Liddle will add another (welcome) dimension to the side.

Where does Josh Reynolds fit into this team when he comes back, there is no way Benji makes way for him at the moment.

From what I’ve seen he isn’t a hooker so have the roles switched where J-Rey is now the 14 with Benji starting at 6??

The problem i see with him at 14 is who does he replace when he comes on - he will only come on to replace the 9 unless there are injuries in the backline. And as was pointed out he is not a great No. 9

Dont forget forumers,Benji is on a 1 year deal,JR is here for 4 years,Ivan as we all know is not a silly man,he would have a plan up his sleeve…Benji has been fantastic for this team,on and off the field...I honestly hope this year is a stella one for the team and club...

I think he would replace Benji, whilst he has been amazing for us, I also question his ability to consistently put in 80 minutes every week. Josh will make his way back into the 13 with Benji coming off the bench. Benji can play 9, whilst not the greatest, better than Josh

I think he’s bound to spend a lot of time at 9\. The pass from Godinet off the scrum last night was ISP stuff. And McIlwrick, I love the guy, he’s as hard as nails, but he’s very meat and potatoes. Grub and Liddle could be the combo moving forward.

Only 2 tries scored against us so far this year - absolutely amazing defense

Which is very strange for us. But we are almost a totally different team.
But it is good to see us, with a stack of injuries pull off a win vs the storm.
I remember one game we beat the Storm 6/4, almost everything was won on defense. That's what a top 4 team does.

Lets hope the attitude continues. Fullback and 5/8 out and we still get an ugly victory against the Storm. Good work guys.

Different players time their runs differently and like the ball in different spots , some players want the ball in the hole , some players want it at the line , some don't , some want the ball on the defenders inside shoulder , some on the outside shoulder

My mistake
Addo-carrs try ruled forward
To many pre celebration drinks
And I needed to clear the nerves
