What do we do with Lawrence...

Oh well it is lawerence this season who will get it next season i am sure the gurus on this forum will go through the team sheets and select another player they can attack with their wisdom, the guy has a few injuires he is trying is guts out for us so how about supporting the players instead of knocking them, i am as disappointed as everyone about the season injuries and the board were the problem, but i will not for one minute think the players did not give their all. Ihave been a tiger for 60 years and always will be.

His contract is heavily backended so what do we do? He is injured but keeps playing because of the injuries we have & at least he is having a go, Not like a certain few who are not.

ATM Steve Siro misses out. He has to work his way in. He needs to learn those same lines in State Cup or off the bench.

Sironen would be best served playing as a centre for a season before being shifted to the back row.

At centre he can still use his ball playing skills, but also learn to run good lines and fix his one on one defence (especially his initial contact which is weak for a kid his size)

He'll also learn how to use his feet in defence. Too often he is isolated and made flat footed simply by a straight running forward/centre who uses a step. You won't stop anyone in the NRL, no matter their size, if you have no upper body momentum and are flat footed.

Furthermore, regarding Lawrence's contract, wasn't he re-signed on a 4 year, $1.6 million deal?

His salary per year could be something like:
Year 1 - 300k
Year 2 - 350k
Year 3 - 425k
Year 4 - 525k
Its not clear how much of his deal was backended, but the last year is usually where the big bikkies are.

Anyone not pulling their weight Donny!

Chris has been a great player but his form has been below par. He makes terrible mistakes and defensive decisions, his hands let him down far too often, and as for being tackled into touch…

For what he is being paid it's not good enough. And it is hard to watch.

I'm not convinced that the back row would work for him either but there is no doubt that he can no longer cut the mustard in the centres unfortunately. Between a rock and a hard place with this one.

I like Lawrence but he is no longer NRL standard and has not been for a while.

As a fan I want the best players in each position and to be competitive in every game.

I want to cheer my team come September not wish for next year to be different.

I would start 2015 with Simon and Fine at centres and elevaye Seve to State Cup to play against men.

Lawrence should retire as his legacy is being tanished every time he plays.

Timana Tahu has been told to look elsewhere by the Knights, his experience alone would make him a worthwhile pickup for a year or two, he would not cost much and could organise our backs

No point punting Lawrence - we'd be paying most of his salary anyway. Just have to 'suck it up". Perhaps a more traditional lock forward role for him? But at the moment, he's about the only centre left standing, so …

We're not serious about improving in 2015 if Chris Lawrence gets a starting spot. It is as simple and obvious as that. I can only assume that it's because of second tier salary cap restrictions that some other guy hasn't been given a shot already …... Asipele Fine for instance?

Anyone remember Steve Austin (not the wrestler )

We have the technology , we have the power

We could turn Lawrence into the 6 million dollar man

Only issue with that plan is we don't have 6 million dollars

I tried
