WHAT IS DALEY’S OBSESSION WITH FARAH?

The problem is no other 9 is jumping up for selection. Ennis isn't getting any younger and all the other top hookers in the NRL are not from NSW (Hodgson, Luke, Jake Friend, Granville, as well as Nathan Friend, Segeyaro & Ballin in years past). If he has a strong 12 months then maybe you can bring in Peats next year, but it really is slim pickings at the moment (and has been for a few years).

This. Farah is below his best but Ennis, whilst going well at club level, was terrible in game 3 last year. His time is past. Agree on Peats. As you say though who else is putting up their hand?

I just can't understand the NSW selectors. For years Farah was the man for the job and they overlooked him. Now he is in, he will never be dropped.

And thats why I don't begrudge Farah being selected. He should have played at least 4 origin series before he was selected. He is past that level now but (a) given there are no other standouts (b) he wasn't selected when he should have been, good luck to him.

Farah's last year of Origin. He deserves to play all 3 games. But I would definitely be interchanging him. Walker was a wasted bench spot anyway. We need a utility/2nd rower that can fill in at hooker for 15 minutes either side of half time. I wouldn't have two specialist hookers. Someone like Bryce Cartwright or Tyrone Peache. Yeah maybe even one of Greg or Jack Bird.

Josh reynolds off the bench for mine.

Some of Robbies service was rubbish in Origin…. But he played OK.
Either way he is nowhere near the form NSW Hooker atm....
Hate to say it but Ennis is streaks ahead this season

Please, Ennis the grub is playing behind a much better pack than Farah. as quoted by Daley!
Its much easier to be playing well by a monster pack. How did Ennis go in game 3 last season?????? Again it wasn't all his fault, but my point is the same without the dominant pack he isn't that special!!
2\. Ennis had his go last season to show us what he's got, nothing! He had his chances before 1 he hit a guy and ran behind one of his own players and hid, 2 didn't he give away a penalty late in a game and cost us the origin?
3\. Farah played well in his game this year and the two last season.
4\. He almost single handle won us game 2 and the series for the first time in 10 years. Watch the game his kick chase was fantastic, he was smashing cherry-evans all night.
The reasons above is why Daley continues to pick him. And I admire him for his loyalty, pity people in this club cant do the same?!?
P.s The great Cameron the salary cheat Smith didn't wow everyone this year in the first SOO, but no one is slamming him, typical!!!
Give him a break…. :deadhorse: :brick:

And it was a stupid penalty that wasn't necessary. Especially as we were ahead.

As I have stated elsewhere Ennis got me almost convinced that he was playing for the other side - such blatant throwing the game away. Don't let him any where near the paddock on the NSW side. Not even with the oranges.

I called it back in 2009 that Daley was an imbecile when he was a selector and said Robbie wasnt origin tough when they kept on picking Ennis over Robbie. He was an imbecile as a selector and still an imbecile as a coach.

Why should he be dropped Juro? He hasn't let anyone down. Does his job. Plays with heart and passion each and every Origin game he's been in.

Have to agree Tigermama, Farah plays the game Daley wants and does well, Ennis on the other hand would help the Qld cause.

Farah is not the player he was 5 years ago. Before he was much more creative, an attacking weapon. Now he is largely reduced to providing service from dummy half (which he does okay) and tackling everything that comes near him. While his tackle count is high, I question the tackles' effectiveness.

I still rate Farah highly, but just believe there are other options for NSW.

So you're willing to pin some of the blame on Ennis for the 50 point loss last yr, but zero blame on Farah for being apart of only 5 wins out of 14 games totalling a 37% winning percentage?

Daley has to stick with him. He made a song and dance about picking him from State Cup, he nailed his colours to the mast back then, now he has to stand by it.

When Farah was captain a few years back they only lost by two points - not a bad record. Ennis would give away more than that every game in SOO

Ennis is like Andrew Johns….pretty average at rep level;-)

Yeh! same as Lewis.

 geeze show some originality. That was hopeless.

I did Stryker - almost as much as mentioning Johns and Ennis in the same sentence.

Sure Happy, if that is who you thought I meant - your perogative.
