What players did you play against?

In light of recent threads, i have one, which players did you come up against as a junior?

For me i encountered:

Trent Barrett
Lance Thompson
Micheal Withers
Frank and Tony Puletua
Chad Halliday
Lee Murphy
Tere Galssie
Tate Mosely
James Webster
Scott Pethybridge
Steve Crouch

Barrett was a class above. Lance was strong. And surprisingly, Pethybridge was so hard to tackle, very fast and powerful
 
Played some junior rep football alongside Craig Fitzgibbon, Shaun Timmins and Jason Hooper from the Dragons.
 
Played against Luke Douglas. Kid smashed me to pieces. Opposing front rower. I remember him literally picking me up with one arm and Rock Bottoming me. Least I made 10 metres before he did it.

I also played a couple of games with Danny Wicks. There were others that I can't think of.
 
Steve Renouf , Andrew Gee , Michael Searle , Dean Schifliitti , Willie Carne , Brett Plowman , Tony Hearn , Craig Teevan, Brett Horsnell Alan Cann Willie Georgetown Michael Hancock Kelly Egan . Went to school with Steve ,Kevin and Kerrod Walters , Craig Polla Mounter ,Craig McDermott (cricket) Probably Tiger Watto also , Had an almighty scar under my chin from Andrew Gees knee
 
gota love gee gee happy…. toughest brawler I have ever known away from the footy field. Did you ever play with or against Andrew Walters? Tough bloke who was before his time. Didnt have the smarts like his 3 brothers, but made up for it with his workload...

No he was out of my age group Watto I think and he did not go to the same school as the other brothers were on scholarships at my school
 
Too many to name, so I'll go with the ones who represented the Green & Gold that I played with or against - T. Gillmeister; M. Hohn; A. Gee; M. Hancock; R. O'Davis; D. Smith; A. Langer; S. Walters.

I was built like a bean pole growing up and have a long neck so I was not allowed to play rugby league.

Went to the same school as Tim Brasher who was in the year below. (Grantham High School - Seven Hills)

Tim Brasher won Rugby League and Rugby Union competitions for our school. Thick as two planks but he was a great rugby league player and great at sprint races.

Played at centre in the 1989 Grand Final as a school ball.

Thanks Everett Most of those blokes on the list represented the Qld Open secondary schoolboys side which became the first ever Open schoolboys side to beat NSW . Willie Carne aside .
