What song are you listening to?

And this one I just love this lyric from Lola by the Kinks

Well, I'm not the world's most masculine man
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
And so is Lola

@cochise why does this NOT surprise me?

Probably because you realise that Liam Gallagher is a tool like any sensible human would!

Is the Liam Gallagher post the one you were replying to? It can be a bit tough to follow replies on here!

Harry Chapin - Mail order Annie

What a story teller.

Wow. As I had music on random selection from my phone as I was driving today, up came W.O.L.D. by Harry Chapin. I loved Harry as I was growing up in country NSW in the late-70s. I still do. He is (was, sadly) an amazing story teller.

I was at a concert he gave at the Regent Theatre in Sydney (late seventies) - great concert. After it was over he came out to the foyer as people were leaving and just generally talked to people, exchanged stories and hung out.

A really cool guy, very talented, humble and caring. As you probably know was killed in a car accident on a freeway. Did not stand a chance in a VW.

A great loss to the world of music, and story telling.

Sadly, just another tragic loss to the music industry.

Damned addiction.

Was listening to some songs tonight and heard some of my favourite lines in songs, lyrics mean a lot to me in music so thought I'd share a couple and see if anyone else had lyrics they like.

My favourite all-time lyric is from Outshined by Soundgarden

I just looked in the mirror
And things aren't looking so good
**I'm looking California and feeling Minnesota**

Nautical disaster By The Tragically Hip.
One of my favourite bands ever. RIP Gord.

"Four thousand men died in the water here and five hundred more were thrashing madly as parasites might in your blood."
