Players know who can play and who can't…unlike our recruitment team.
They see us resigning players like Fulton and signing players over 30 and think.. Well life ain't going to get much better here in "plodders paradise", I might take up that offer from Manly or Souths or Roosters.
I hear ya Irvine, but there is also some method to the madness of keeping older players around if done correctly. For instance if we end up with a primarily young backline next year then Richards is a good buy if he has a couple of good years left in him.
Likewise if all these young forwards come through. For this reason I would keep Galloway. But we do need to be more selective to do it properly… right now Blair is wasting our money, Anasta was NOT an astute signing...
